It’s almost 7 a.m. and it’s still dark. Who’s the idiot savant that decides when we change the time? For that matter, why are we still changing the time? Arizona gets along just fine without do the time change thing. Why is the rest of the country dealing with this forced stupidity?

Other Shit

Heading to Edward Jones today to deal with the last issues of Shirley’s passing, her portfolio. All will be in Nina’s name and I have no clue what there is in the portfolio.

I guess I hurt Erin’s feelings the other day. She showed me a new nightgown and I teased her about it, causing her to go downstairs crying and telling Tori on me. Girls are too sensitive. We made up the next day, once someone told me that this happened.

I want to shoot my TV. I’m so sick and tired of the politics that’s being vomited from my TV daily. They all lie. It’s all bullshit. I’m hoping we get a chance to see Gary King in Las Vegas again, like we did last time this puke ran for office. Last time we were polite and told him we’ve already decided on a candidate and it wasn’t him. If I get a second chance, I’m going to go all Post on his ass.

It’s looking like a nice day is forming. We may have to take the Harley into Santa Fe this morning. Should be interesting telling Nina this after she’s already dressed for the day, or I could tell her when she gets up. We’ll see.

Tori and I did lunch today. Erin being picked up by Roger, Belle’s old b/f, for some time together made lunch with Tori possible. I enjoyed our time talking immensely.

If you need a cell phone holder in your car, I highly recommend the Pro Clip brand. They make model specific bases that can handle many different mounts. I just switched over to the new IO magnetic mount and I love it. No more getting  a new mount when I got a new phone. Just pop on a new disc on the back of the phone’s case and you’re good to go.

Erin and I went for an ATV ride yesterday. While chilly, it was a fun ride. I let her drive the ATV while sitting in front of me and the difference between yesterday and the previous time when she drove is night and day. Previously, she was all throttle and no control, but yesterday she was very reserved with her speed and slowed down for turns. Even on the straight-aways, she kept her speed to a reasonable level. She’s maturing so fast.

Her home schooling seems to be progressing well too. She knows her alphabet and is counting very well now. I had her counting money the other day and she did well on that too. We may have her working the store by 7 y.o.

I met a newish neighbor yesterday. Howard is from NYC and is looking to buy a home out here so I directed him to 2 friend’s places that are for sale. One is the B&B. this guy is part of an investment group that has 4 of the 6 members that like to vacation in the Santa Fe area. Who know’s what will happen.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again,
it was probably well worth it.

We have decided not to have the party this year. With the extra work of dealing with ML and the added stress to Nina to come up with the meals and all, it’s just not gonna happen. We are also planning on not doing the traditional Thanksgiving type of meal, mainly for the same reasons. Arrow’s Ridge will be serving dinner and we’ve decided that we’ll just go there and grab some take out food for the day. Maybe we’ll do the same thing for Christmas too.

We’ve not been feeling the holiday spirit lately.

Good Morning!

I stepped out to a damp morning today. It had rained sometime this morning, but was calm while I was on the deck looking for my newspaper.

I may or may not be on my bike today. Harley Davidson of SF has some sort of event happening today and I would like to ride there, but if the weather is less than ideal, I’ll take the Jeep. They also are doing the event tomorrow in combination with a toy run, so Nina would join me tomorrow if I ride there on Sunday.

We did il Vincino’s last night for dinner. I hate SF traffic and this place is all the way into Santa Fe. We each had our own pizza, cheese and sausage for me and spicy shrimp for Nina. Good food, but it annoys me that they don’t have a full liquor license. I like a drink with dinner and especially with pizza, but to do that at il Vincino’s, I have to sneak in my booze to mix at the table. Of course it’s my only option since there’s no other good pizza in SF.

I mentioned earlier that I bought 3 algae eaters for my fish tank. I’m amazed at what they’ve done for the health of the tank. There’s a Greek columns decoration in the tank and it’s pretty large for the tank that was covered with algae and the 2 remaining algae eaters have cleaned that thing back to original condition. One died on the 3rd day, but that’s not unexpected. I buy heavy knowing there’s usually losses.

We open in 10 minutes, so I plan on being downstairs to keep an eye on John and see how long it takes Tori to check in at work. Gotta keep them on their toes.

Over the past week I was asked 3 times why I don’t allow replies on my blog. Well I do allow replies and you need to know how to contact me “off blog” to do so. In an effort to prevent the spammers from flooding my blog with their bullshit, to reply on the blog you need to contact me via email, Facebook, or by phone. I will then add you to the user list and you’ll be able to reply here.

Some of the websites I’ve set up using the WordPress templates do allow non-users to reply and they have receive a lot of spam on their blog and some of it is pornographic in their offerings. Since this is for fun, I’d rather not be bothered with those type of replies.
