First Rain Ride on the Harley & Other stuff.

  • I got caught in the rain yesterday. While it wasn’t as fun as riding in the sunshine, it wasn’t horrid.
  • My shirt got wet before I could pull over and put on a jacket and my pant legs got wet. No big deal.
  • Raining now. It’s been storming all around us for a while the last few days.
  • 4200+ miles on the bike now. I had it in yesterday for a recall concerning the brakes.
  • Today I have a Lodger’s Tax meeting. 11:00 if I recall correctly. It should be a fast meeting. RFP’s handed out and a report of my other committee activities. Lunch should be the most involved part of the meeting.
  • I doubt I’ll ride the bike to the meeting since it’s supposed to be like yesterday, weather wise.
  • I’m thinking of shaving my head.
  • The “Jackie Chan” idiot is no longer employed at my place. I wanted to beat him for doing that so I had Tori give him the news that his last days at work were cancelled.
  • I may also fire the new Henry and hire old Henry back. Even while tweaking heavy he was better than new Henry.
  • Peace.

Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan

We had 24 carloads of Chinese visit our store this evening. Dom, the cashier that gave his 2 week notice recently, decided it would be funny to chant Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan, as they came into our store to spend money. He won’t be back. I eliminated his last days here. In my opinion it was a deliberate attempt to damage the store and our business with that chant. Little puke.

My mom has a dirty mind!

I’m sure that you have seen pharmaceutical advertising in doctor’s offices on everything from tissues to note pads This one should get first prize:

 light

I  e-mailed it to my Japanese doctor friend; he e-mailed back: “If light stay on more than 4 hour, call erectrician.

(This made me laugh out roud)

Trip Report

  • It was great seeing Mom, Beth, and Nancy on this trip. Erin feels the same. She talked about them repeatedly on the way home.
  • I enjoyed the variety of places for breakfast out. My favorite was the Windmill Cafe in the downtown district. Biscuit and gravy with eggs on top!
  • The week was not ideal for the beach, but Erin and I did it anyway and she had a ball. Kids just never seem to feel cold water, but I spent time in the lake too.
  • The extra passenger, Steven, was nice for me. We talked when we weren’t listening to what we have on our phones. I did 2.75 books and I have no clue what he listened to. Erin did the iPad thing and she was well entertained on the trip.
  • We met Julie and Anni at Sam’s Club in Holland both times and it was nice seeing them again.
  • I took Erin to Dutch Village and she loved it. I can see her insisting on returning there next year. The ferris wheel was her favorite.
  • I’m sure if I sit here and dwell on it I could come up with other shit to say, but I’m ready to head out for the day with Nina and I need to check the Jeep and see if it is habitable again.
