The penguin is very committed to its\u00a0family and will mate for life, as well as maintain a form of compassionate\u00a0contact with its offspring throughout its life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family\u00a0and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their\u00a0vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird\u00a0to be rolled into, and buried.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:<br \/>\n&#8220;Freeze a jolly good fellow.&#8221;<br \/>\n<span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">&#8220;Freeze a jolly good fellow.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You really didn&#8217;t believe that I know anything about penguins, did you?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Oh&#8230; quit whining, I fell for it, too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dead Penguins &#8211; I never knew this!
