She asked the class, &#8220;If you\u00a0 saw a person lying on the roadside, all wounded and bleeding, what would you do?&#8221;<br \/>\nA\u00a0 thoughtful little girl broke the hushed silence,\u00a0 &#8220;I think I&#8217;d throw\u00a0 up.&#8221;<br \/>\n________________________________<br \/>\nDID\u00a0 NOAH FISH?<br \/>\nA\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1961124126\">Sunday<\/span>\u00a0 school teacher asked, &#8220;Johnny, do you think Noah did a lot of fishing when he was on the Ark?&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;No,&#8221; replied Johnny. &#8220;How could he, with just two worms.&#8221;<br \/>\n_______________________________<br \/>\nHIGHER\u00a0 POWER<br \/>\nA\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1961124127\">Sunday<\/span>\u00a0school teacher said to her children, &#8220;We\u00a0 have been learning how powerful kings and queens\u00a0 were in Bible times. But, there is a Higher Power. Can anybody tell me what it is?&#8221;<br \/>\nOne child\u00a0 blurted out,\u00a0\u00a0 &#8220;Aces!&#8221;<br \/>\n_______________________________<br \/>\nMOSES\u00a0 AND THE RED SEA<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Nine-year-old Joey was asked by his mother what he had learned in\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1961124128\">Sunday<\/span>\u00a0School.<br \/>\n&#8220;Well,\u00a0 Mom, our teacher told us how God sent Moses behind enemy lines on a rescue mission to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. When he got to the Red Sea, he had his army build a pontoon bridge and all the people walked across safely. Then he radioed headquarters for reinforcements. They sent bombers to blow up the bridge and all the Israelites were saved.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Now, Joey, is that really what your teacher taught you?&#8221; his Mother\u00a0 asked.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Well, no, Mom, but, if I told it the way the teacher did, you&#8217;d never believe\u00a0 it!&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>_______________________________<br \/>\nTHE\u00a0 LORD IS MY SHEPHERD<br \/>\nA\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1961124129\">Sunday<\/span>\u00a0 School teacher decided to have her young class\u00a0 memorize one of the most quoted\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>passages in the Bible &#8211; Psalm 23. She gave the youngsters a month to learn the chapter.<\/p>\n<p>Little Rick was excited about the task &#8211; but he just couldn&#8217;t remember the Psalm. After much\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>practice, he could barely get past the first line.<\/p>\n<p>On the day that the kids were scheduled to recite Psalm 23 in front of the congregation, Ricky\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>was so nervous.\u00a0 When it was his turn, he stepped up to the microphone and said proudly,\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The Lord is my\u00a0 Shepherd, and that&#8217;s all I need to\u00a0 know.&#8221;<br \/>\n________________________________<br \/>\nUNANSWERED\u00a0 PRAYER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The preacher&#8217;s 5 year-old daughter noticed that her father always paused and bowed his head\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>for a\u00a0 moment before starting his sermon. One day, she asked him why.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Well, Honey,&#8221; he began,\u00a0 proud that his daughter was so observant of his messages.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;I&#8217;m asking the Lord to help me preach a good sermon.&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;How come He doesn&#8217;t answer it?&#8221; she asked.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>___________________<br \/>\nBEING\u00a0 THANKFUL<br \/>\nA Rabbi said to a precocious\u00a0 six-year-old boy, &#8220;So your mother says your prayers for you each night? That&#8217;s very commendable.\u00a0 What does she say?&#8221;<br \/>\nThe\u00a0 little boy replied, &#8220;Thank God he&#8217;s in\u00a0 bed!&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><br \/>\n________________________________<br \/>\nUNTIMELY\u00a0 ANSWERED PRAYER<br \/>\nDuring the minister&#8217;s\u00a0 prayer one\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1961124130\">Sunday<\/span>, there was a loud whistle from one of the back pews. Tommy&#8217;s mother was horrified.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>She pinched him into silence and, after church, asked,\u00a0 &#8220;Tommy, whatever made you do such a thing?&#8221;<br \/>\nTommy answered soberly, &#8220;I asked God to teach me to whistle, and He did!&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>________________________________<br \/>\nTIME\u00a0 TO PRAY<br \/>\nA pastor asked a little boy if he said his prayers every night.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong><br \/>\n&#8220;Yes,\u00a0 sir.&#8221; the boy replied.<br \/>\n&#8220;And, do you always say them in the morning, too?&#8221; the pastor asked.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>&#8220;No sir,&#8221; the boy replied. &#8220;I ain&#8217;t scared in the\u00a0 daytime&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>________________________________<br \/>\nALL\u00a0 MEN \/ ALL GIRLS<br \/>\nWhen my daughter, Kelli, said her bedtime prayers, she would bless every family member, every friend, and every animal (current and past). For several weeks, after we had finished the nightly prayer, Kelli would say, &#8220;And all girls.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This soon became part of her nightly routine, to include this closing.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>My curiosity got the best of me and I asked her, &#8220;Kelli, why do you always add the part about all girls?&#8221;<br \/>\nHer response, &#8220;Because everybody always finish their prayers by saying &#8216;All Men&#8217;!&#8221;<br \/>\n________________________________<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nSAY A\u00a0 PRAYER<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Little Johnny and his family were having\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1961124131\">Sunday<\/span>\u00a0dinner at his Grandmother&#8217;s house. Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>When Little Johnny received his plate, he started eating right away.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Johnny!\u00a0 Please wait until we say our prayer.&#8221; said his mother.<br \/>\n&#8220;I don&#8217;t need to,&#8221; the boy\u00a0 replied.<br \/>\n&#8220;Of course,\u00a0 you do.&#8221; his mother insisted. &#8220;We always say a prayer before eating at our house.&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8220;That&#8217;s at our house.&#8221; Johnny explained.\u00a0 &#8220;But this is Grandma&#8217;s house and she knows how to cook.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A LITTLE GENTLE &#8220;FAITH BASED&#8221; HUMOUR.!
