So, Nina and I do the nine hour drive to DFW to pick up 5 Harleys for the store. David, the owner, tells me that he usually had the guys stay a cheapie hotels, but since Nina’s with me I can move up a step or two. \u00a0Best Western? Sure! They’re not too bad. $143.00! Oh well, maybe he’ll not ask me again if Nina’s free to travel. We’ll see what happens when I turn in my reciepts.<\/p>\n
Yesterday’s drive SUCKED! Long drive, high winds, crappy roads. We hit this one spot on the way down that the road was so bad that we were thrown into a lane change. Both the truck and the trailer were tossed into the other lane. Thankfully, there was no one next to us at the time. 7:30 is when the place will open for us this morning and I can load the bikes and head home.<\/p>\n
I called David last night and gave him our plans for the return trip and told him that we’d just bring the trailer to our place and return it to the store on Friday since we wouldn’t be able to get it there before they closed. He said it sounded good.<\/p>\n
