The L<\/em>ord’s Prayer by a 15-year-old school kid who got an A+ for this entry (TOTALLY AWESOME)!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lord’s Prayer is not allowed in most U.S. Public schools any more.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A kid in Minnesota wrote the following NEW School Prayer:-<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I sit me down in school<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where praying is against the rule<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this great nation under God<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finds mention of Him very odd<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If scripture now the class recites,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It violates the Bill of Rights.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And anytime my head I bow<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Becomes a Federal matter now<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s no offense; it’s a freedom scene.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The law is specific, the law is precise.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For praying in a public hall<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Might offend someone with no faith at all.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In silence alone we must meditate,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

God’s name is prohibited by the State.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They’ve outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To quote the Good Book makes me liable.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the ‘unwed daddy,’ our Senior King.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s ‘inappropriate’ to teach right from wrong.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re taught that such ‘judgments’ do not belong.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can get our condoms and birth controls,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No word of God must reach this crowd.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s scary here I must confess,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When chaos reigns the school’s a mess.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, Lord, this silent plea I make:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Should I be shot; My soul please take!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
