After the cut, he\u00a0asked about his bill, and the barber replied, &#8216;I cannot accept money\u00a0from you, I&#8217;m doing community service this week.&#8217;\u00a0The florist was pleased and left the shop.\u00a0When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a\u00a0&#8216;thank you&#8217; card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill,\u00a0the barber again replied, &#8216;I cannot accept money from you, I&#8217;m doing\u00a0community service this week.\u00a0The cop was happy and left the shop.\u00a0The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a &#8216;thank\u00a0you&#8217; card and a dozen doughnuts waiting for him at his door.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then a Member of Congress came in for a haircut, and when he went to\u00a0pay his bill, the barber again replied, &#8216;I cannot accept money from\u00a0you. I&#8217;m doing community service this week.&#8217; The Member of Congress\u00a0was very happy and left the shop.\u00a0The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen\u00a0Members of Congress lined up waiting for a free haircut.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between\u00a0the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut.
