View the original article at:\u00a0http:\/\/www.nationalenquirer.com\/celebrity\/exclusive-michelle-walks-out-obama-divorce-battle-explodes<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n By Steve Herz, NATIONAL ENQUIRER<\/strong><\/p>\n Photography by: Getty Images News<\/strong><\/p>\n \n IN a major behind-the-scenes blowout, President BARACK OBAMA and first lady MICHELLE waged their worst White House fight ever over her lavish vacation trip to China!<\/strong><\/p>\n Sources tell The ENQUIRER that Obama exploded when Mi\u00adchelle refused to cancel her pricey getaway \u2013 even after White House advisers warned him that the first couple\u2019s six-year string of extravagant vacations had already drained the U.S. Trea\u00adsury of a whopping $150 million in tax\u00adpayers\u2019 money.<\/strong><\/p>\n Instead of postpon\u00ading her trip, a furious Michelle \u2013 still seeth\u00ading over the embarrassing \u201cselfie\u201d Barack recently snapped with a leggy blonde head of state \u2013 announced that she was taking her mother along for company.<\/strong><\/p>\n She further declared that she didn\u2019t want reporters covering her activities overseas.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThis was a blowout of epic proportions \u2013 probably the nasti\u00adest White House fight they\u2019ve ever had,\u201d a Washington, D.C., insider told The ENQUIRER.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThey were both screaming at one another.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThe president was infuriated when advisers told him that they\u2019d added up the costs of all their \u2018vacations\u2019 and China was putting them over the $150 million mark.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cBut he\u2019s defenseless to stop Michelle be\u00adcause their marriage has collapsed. She\u2019s doing what she wants \u2013 and that\u2019s seeing the world on the American taxpayers\u2019 dime.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n The embattled commander in chief flat-out begged his wife of 21 years to postpone the trip, according to a family insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cBut she refused,\u201d said the source.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThen, when Barack asked why she had to take her mother along, Mi\u00adchelle ripped into him. She screamed\u00a0 that he was \u2018lucky\u2019 that she hadn\u2019t left him after that embarrassing \u2018selfie,\u2019 and then she stormed off.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Michelle arrived in Beijing with her mother, Marian Robinson, and the Obamas\u2019 daughters, 15-year-old Malia and Sasha, 12, on March 20 for a planned seven-day, three-city trip.<\/strong><\/p>\n They checked into the lavish presidential suite at the Beijing Wes\u00adtin hotel, costing a whopping $8,350 per night. The 3,400-square-foot suite included 24-hour butler service and a steam room.<\/strong><\/p>\n One published report quoted hotel employees grumbling about Michelle\u2019s mom \u201cbarking at the staff \u201d and added that the first lady\u2019s party was \u201cinconveniencing pretty much everyone.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n And it quickly became clear that Michelle had apparently won the battle to avoid media scrutiny.<\/strong><\/p>\n While she was scheduled to de\u00adliver a speech to students at Peking University, \u201cThe Weekly Standard\u201d reported that \u201cshe won\u2019t be accompa\u00adnied by the press\u201d because \u201cshe does not plan to give interviews.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n As a result, the White House went into spin control, noted the D.C. insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re defending Michelle\u2019s trip by calling it \u2018a people-to-people exchange\u2019 and emphasizing \u2018the im\u00adportance that both nations place on education,\u2019\u201d said the source. \u201cBut the fact is Michelle specifically demanded that reporters not follow her every move.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Media were granted access to only two of the 22 events on the first lady\u2019s schedule, and sources say Michelle\u2019s media ban hid her secret agenda to split from the president.<\/strong><\/p>\n Besides being humiliated by the president\u2019s \u201cselfie\u201d photo with the sexy Danish prime minister at Nelson Mandela\u2019s memorial service last December, sources say Michelle was further outraged when she learned the Secret Service had been covering up the president\u2019s cheating.<\/strong><\/p>\n The first lady has already met with divorce lawyers and is planning a separate life after her husband leaves the White House.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cObama\u2019s advisers told him he must try and keep Michelle \u2018under control\u2019 until then,\u201d divulged the D.C. insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThey explained that if Michelle walked out while he was still in office, the impact on his presiden\u00adtial legacy would be catastrophic.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n And Michelle isn\u2019t doing him any favors by traveling like a queen.<\/strong><\/p>\n Besides the family\u2019s annual Au\u00adgust vacation on ritzy Martha\u2019s Vineyard and Christmas holiday in Hawaii, Michelle jetted off to Mexico and Spain in 2010, and kicked up her heels at a posh ski resort in Vail, Colo., in 2011.<\/strong><\/p>\n In March 2011, she spent five days in Latin America with her mother and daughters. Three months later, they were joined by Michelle\u2019s niece and nephew for a safari in South Africa.<\/strong><\/p>\n In June 2013, the first lady spent two days in Ireland. That trip re\u00adquired booking 30 rooms at an exclusive hotel for her staff and security detail, costing taxpayers a reported $5 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n According to one published re\u00adport: \u201cThe president\u2019s pricey travels have become so controversial that \u2018Judicial Watch\u2019 was forced to sue the Secret Service and Defense De\u00adpartment to get them to turn over records on the amount of taxpayer money used to fly the first family all over the world\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n But Michelle couldn\u2019t care less, said the D.C. insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s clear to everyone at the White House that Barack has completely lost control of his wife,\u201d said the source.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cMichelle does whatever she wants and goes wherever she wants. It\u2019s as if she\u2019s tacked up a map of the world and put pins on all the places she wants to visit.
