I was not comfortable keeping a handheld shotgun as a replacement to the 1911. Once I get my gun back from the cops, I will retire that pistol to the safe and save it for Andy. I&#8217;ve had that gun for 42 years and I don&#8217;t want to risk losing it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I bought the MetroArms 1911, a bare bones pistol that is not as expensive as a Colt. To replace my gun, as it was setup by me, would cost about $1200. The new gun was half that cost and already had some of the special things I did to my gun on it. That stuff is now considered standard, but it made my gun a pretty sweet shooter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tori and I went shooting today and I am happy with my new gun. The salesperson at the Outdoorsman tried to up sell me to a Kimber, but I&#8217;ve had one before and I found it to be finicky with the ammo I shoot.
