Although I considermyself reasonably fluent in English, that term was not in my\u00a0vocabulary. Curiosity got the better of me so I\u00a0decided to do a little research, and after two weeks of\u00a0chasing fruitless leads, I found what I\u2019d been looking for\u00a0at the Truman Library and Museum in Independence\u00a0Missouri. An unnamed source there sent me copies of\u00a0four telegrams between then-President Harry Truman and Gen.\u00a0Douglas MacArthur on the day before the actual signing of\u00a0the WW2 Surrender Agreement in September 1945.
