Nina and I have been invited to H.O.T. again this year. For the non-Harley people among you, that stands for HOG Officer’s Training. This year it’s in Las Vegas. We’re both excited about it this year.

1 year ago today, our store was robbed by Zebadiah Romero and while fleeing the crime, he shot at me. I’ve been to court many times of this past year and the last time I was there, I was told that Romero has no memory of his crime or of me shooting him in the ass.

Because of his faulty memory, he is not charged with armed robbery, just 3 counts of aggravated assault and car theft. (I need to remember this tactic if ever arrested.) Last time I was in court, there was a sentence passed, but it’s complicated and rather than try to explain it all to you, I wish to highlight the 2 main points:

1. He has been sentenced to 2 years of substance abuse treatment. The Delancey Street Program scheduled a 3 hour interview with him and left the interview after 30 minutes. They refused him. The VA will accept him, but they have no available beds. He’s still in the county jail.
2. Afterwards he’s on 4 years of probation. If he violates during treatment or probation, he goes back to jail for the remainder of the 6 years. I’m 100% sure he’ll violate.

As I said that the whole sentence is complicated, but the above is pretty simple. He’s a smug little puke that belongs in prison and I hope he violates.

• Today was the first day of the year that I took the bike out.
• High temp of 52°, with the low of 42°.
• Could have been and should have been warmer by at least 10°, but once again the weatherliars failed me
• Today’s ride was a ride I thought of 2 days ago and we had 17 people at the table at Ribs. Not bad for a pickup ride.
• Would have had more if peoples roads or driveways weren’t in shit condition. With the snow melting and then the puddles freezing at night, they’re our slop.

While I will always like London, this trip was a good reason to never go back.

• Cold winds from the Arctic Circle daily.
• I didn’t prep for the trip and it cost me a knee.
• I caught a cold. Thanks Erin!
• Crowds were unexpectedly not January crowds. Very busy everywhere.

I had a great day with Martin. It was wonderful to have Erin with us. The food was amazing as usual. The beer/ale were all very drinkable, some exceptionally so.

I got bored and decided to buy on flight Internet.  Not too bad, $17 until I deplane. Nina made me sit in between her and Tori, so I can make two people miserable.  Twice as much fun.

The trip here was not our finest, but being here with Erin was amazing. It was great seeing Martin again and I may be able to talk him into the TT in a year or two. I think he was trying to frighten me with his driving, but most of my early trips in a car were with aggressive drivers, so he was just fun.

The airplane out was late leaving and now the one home was Kate leaving too. Tori won’t fly AA again she says.  Sell your AA STOCK EVEYONE, Tori ain’t flying them again!

I’m typing this at 34,000 while over Canada.  I’m also using my tablet, which I like for reading, but not for typing.  Anyway, I’ll be back online tomorrow.
