- OK, why the hell are people asking me about sports crap? I have nothing to do with sports, with the possible exception of entering a Super Bowl pool, and while I can pretend to be interested in football or baseball, if the sport of basketball went the way of the dinosaurs I’d be a happy camper.
- Hey, it rained last night and the weatherliars are predicting more today and tomorrow. Even a blind man with a gun can hit something if he pulls the trigger often enough.
- Since Friday I’ve taken the bike out everyday but one. Almost a hundred miles a day, but if I wish to reach my goal of 10,000 miles by the 24th of this month, I’m going to have to up my game a bit. I bought the bike on the 24th last year.
- The 24th is also Nina’s birthday. Make sure you ship all her presents by tomorrow latest to ensure that they get here in time.
- Face tattoos. Why?
- I may get a haircut today.
- Peace.

“I only steal from drug dealers now.”
Clifford, a known thief, wanted to come back in to the store. He apologized to me for stealing from me and told me he’s changed. I asked him if the stories about he still steals from the Gonzales family are true and he said that’s different, they sell drugs. “I only steal from drug dealers now.” What a douchebag.

Nice ride on Tuesday. Stopped by the dealership to see if there was anyone around to ride with, but there was no one there. Printed out a few copies of the newsletter since I noticed that there were none at the dealership.
After leaving the dealership, I headed east looking for food. After processing several options through my tiny brain, I decided that Harry’s Roadhouse was the best option. I had a fried chicken sandwich with swiss and mushrooms. Tiny brain scored today, it was great. After going there for a few years, they’re starting to recognize us as regulars and the service is better that way. Don’t get me wrong, their service is alway good, but regulars seem happier.
Drove home on I-25 since there’s not any other option really from Santa Fe. 106 miles for the morning.
No poker Thursday!
- Curt sucks!
- Just got an email telling me that the enviro department has approved the design of the store’s new septic system. Rudy can start work immediately now and a week from him starting, we should be good!
- May go riding today. It’s 50° outside right now.
- A year ago today, James Boyd was killed by the Albuquerque PD and now the family is all up in arms about the murder. Murder is without quotes because it was murder and I’m not disputing that fact. What has me commenting on this is that the family ignored this man prior to the shooting but since there’s money going to happen, they’re all screaming about him now. Where were these people before this? Why didn’t they take care of this man earlier? They don’t care, they are just jumping on the lawsuit bandwagon! ASSHOLES!
- I’m also tired of this Ferguson Missouri b.s. I just read that 75% of the residents of Ferguson have active warrants! 75% have active warrants! WTF? Why isn’t the police departments that are now protecting protestors making arrests on these warrants? This town is a haven for criminals and we’re supposed to care that one of the criminals got shot? I guess the press doesn’t care about reporting facts like that since it doesn’t generate the outrage that they wish. Burn the damned town down, that’ll be great press!

- Erin is now making clothes for her dolls. She’s pretty good.
- I should have been out riding today, but I was tired.
- I thought my Harley-Davidson credit card was hacked today, I was wrong. USBank just had an email glitch that resent the confirmation about Apple Pay.
- Just was told that there’s electrical outages nearby. I hope we are spared. It gets expensive when we’re without power for long periods.
- I think ML had another mini stroke again yesterday. I was getting ready for my bath this morning when I heard her talking to herself. I listened in and heard her complaining to God about her pain. I went in and asked her if she needed some pain meds, she said yes and I gave her a double dose.
- Just another day in paradise.
Nice Day, Nice Ride
We did a 200 mile ride today with the dealership prior to the bike give-away from Harley-Davidson. The whole day was a screw up between 2 different groups organizing a ride from the dealership via email. It all worked out in the end. The Old Fartz went to Albuquerque for a brunch ride and we did the dealership ride with 9 other bikes.
Steve Stucker, the channel 4 weatherman was there to help with the award. They also had TV cameras there to record the event, so I may be on TV. Steve is in the white shirt, David Pearson in the green shirt, the guy in the vest and plaid shirt was awarded the bike. His wife was with him.
He was accompanied by a LE (law enforcement) motorcycle club, the guys in the black vests. I’m guessing that there were 100 or more people there today. Lots of fun.
Almost to 10,000 miles on the bike.

So, we’ve had a beautiful Saturday. Temps in the 70’s and partly cloudy. I took the bike out to Walmart to pick up my meds. You know the routine, new doctor, new meds. It’s like a freaking plot to keep you guessing. Actually, same meds, higher dosage.
Tomorrow we’re going out on the dealership ride at 11:00. At 1:00 the dealership is giving away a gorgeous Road King to a teacher that made a difference. Actually, Harley-Davidson is giving the teacher the bike and he chose SFHD as his home dealer. Great news for the Pearsons and the store, free publicity. Some on the ride tomorrow wish to be there during the give away, but I’m not sure if we’ll attend.
Mom didn’t like the picture of me and Karen that Debby posted on FB. It does make me look large, but I am large. It was a fun night and Karen and I were having a nice chat when the pic was taken. I’ve known Karen from the Old Fartz lunch crowd, but we never talked before. Nice lady, smart lady.
We’ve settled on dates for our summer trip. We’re thinking that July 6th through July 24 sounds good. Michigan will most likely be on the tour route. I hear that Karen (not the above mentioned Karen) will be there most of the summer. I hope she brings her sick little dog with, Beth can take it to her vet for Paul. (too soon Beth? sorry.) We still plan on doing the b.com reunion weekend at the start of the trip, but that depends on who’s available for the weekend.
We are hoping to make this trip a Diners, Drive-ins & Dives trip. Checking out his website, I doubt this will be a hard thing to do. He’s been everywhere! Of course I won’t be taking the knife wielding Erin with on the trip, after all, it is a bike trip with Nina and myself. The knife thing is something that her father thinks is funny. Moron. You’ll notice that I am not smiling in the picture.
Court
I went to court today to watch he arraignment of Romero. It was a real non-event. The judge allowed his bond to be reduced from $10,000 to $5,000. He pled not-guilty and now I hope he’ll try to do a plea deal. His brother was there and we chatted.
Doctor
Well, I went to the doctor’s office today and got my results of the blood tests. Basically I’m a healthy fat guy with very few problems. My PSA is very low-good!
The finger was given and it was as it should be-good!
My bad cholesterol is just fine-good!
My tri-glyserides are fine-good!
My good cholesterol is way down-bad!
Because my good is down, I will be back on statins, but in a much lower dosage. 5mg. instead of 80 mg.-good!
I’m too heavy-duh!
My thyroid levels is still too low-not good but not horrid!
Sounds like a lot, but it’s not and the doctor was surprised that I was in such good health in spite of my weight.
Old Fartz Lunch
We had 23 people attend the Old Fartz lunch today. Nice crowd, nice time. Lunch was at Joe’s Diner in Santa Fe.
Dinner was with Tori, Erin, and Michael. Olive Garden. It was a nice evening and the food was good. This was Tori’s b’day dinner. B’day is tomorrow.
Erin leaves tomorrow for Dilia. Tori and Michael leave tomorrow for Denver. I leave early in the morning for the doctor’s office.
