Spooky is cool while being spooky.
Well, we were supposed to be selling gas right now, but we’re not. The was a tiny leak in the system and that’s pushing the sale of gas back to tomorrow afternoon or so. We will be open for normal business hours tomorrow, but gas will happen when it happens.
When we open, we will only have 2 pumping stations until the concrete cures, about 3 days to be safe.
I’ve had a lot of pictures to post lately.
The store and gas should be open again on Friday morning, 6 a.m.
These days have been very hectic. Being closed is more work for me than being open.
Just a few more pics about the upgrade.
The old lines (shown) are out and the new pass throughs are in place. Tomorrow they will install the new pipes and proceed to test the lines, first with air, then nitrogen and finally the fuel.
Apparently not. We have one shitting all over the closed campground. It’s attracted to my garbage scow. I may have to kill it. Garbage bears are more than a nuisance, they can be dangerous. I will attempt to scare the thing off the property permanently, but that seldom works. I may take some of the meat, but I would prefer not to butcher the carcass. Bear meat is very tasty.
The governor is flying all over the state surveying the flood damage and while watching her I was struck by the fact that she is a good looking woman, but since taking office her ass has picked up some girth. I’m wondering if that will hurt her presidential aspirations.
The flooding damage is HUGE. Roads are gone, entire communities are stranded with no way in or out, and private property damage is monstrous. All in all, I prefer the drought if we can’t find some middle ground in this weather shit.
Stayed open unexpectedly yesterday. The construction company didn’t cut of the gas flow and I felt it was better to make money than sit on my ass. They figure to shut us down sometime today. The lines being replaced are in great condition and needed replacement like I need more belly fat.
Once shut down they figure we’ll be back open on thursday.
I took a long nap yesterday. That may be why I’m here posting at 4:00 a.m. It was nice though. Erin and I were watching Spongebob when we both crapped out.
My mom played “cunt” on Scrabble yesterday. I’m speechless.
After all this rain, the news dweebs are talking about the bark beetles again. I thought they only came out and killed trees during drought.
I’m actually thinking of getting the flu shot this year. Never have I thought of this before, but I keep thinking of how shitty I felt last year during flu season and I may try it and see if it don’t kill me.
Heard that Joe’s Crab Shack is coming to Albuquerque next summer! YAY, they have some good seafood. First we get a Panera’s in Santa Fe, now Joe’s in Alb., damn, if this keeps up I may never have to go to Chicago for good food again. Well, Lido’s will still bring me there I guess, but if we get great pizza here, tough shit Chicago.
F.Y.I. I have still not bought a motorcycle.
Hey Dennis, you’re too old to be working as hard as you did yesterday. Ease off buddy.
Went to an art show that Diane Moreno held at her place on Sunday. I bought 2 of her pieces for Tori and Erin and their new house. All her pieces were made from her demolished outhouse. I guess that makes these pieces kinda shitty?
They broke ground with a Bobcat, but the rest was hand dug. Crazy!
