We have decided not to have the party this year. With the extra work of dealing with ML and the added stress to Nina to come up with the meals and all, it’s just not gonna happen. We are also planning on not doing the traditional Thanksgiving type of meal, mainly for the same reasons. Arrow’s Ridge will be serving dinner and we’ve decided that we’ll just go there and grab some take out food for the day. Maybe we’ll do the same thing for Christmas too.

We’ve not been feeling the holiday spirit lately.

Good Morning!

I stepped out to a damp morning today. It had rained sometime this morning, but was calm while I was on the deck looking for my newspaper.

I may or may not be on my bike today. Harley Davidson of SF has some sort of event happening today and I would like to ride there, but if the weather is less than ideal, I’ll take the Jeep. They also are doing the event tomorrow in combination with a toy run, so Nina would join me tomorrow if I ride there on Sunday.

We did il Vincino’s last night for dinner. I hate SF traffic and this place is all the way into Santa Fe. We each had our own pizza, cheese and sausage for me and spicy shrimp for Nina. Good food, but it annoys me that they don’t have a full liquor license. I like a drink with dinner and especially with pizza, but to do that at il Vincino’s, I have to sneak in my booze to mix at the table. Of course it’s my only option since there’s no other good pizza in SF.

I mentioned earlier that I bought 3 algae eaters for my fish tank. I’m amazed at what they’ve done for the health of the tank. There’s a Greek columns decoration in the tank and it’s pretty large for the tank that was covered with algae and the 2 remaining algae eaters have cleaned that thing back to original condition. One died on the 3rd day, but that’s not unexpected. I buy heavy knowing there’s usually losses.

We open in 10 minutes, so I plan on being downstairs to keep an eye on John and see how long it takes Tori to check in at work. Gotta keep them on their toes.

Over the past week I was asked 3 times why I don’t allow replies on my blog. Well I do allow replies and you need to know how to contact me “off blog” to do so. In an effort to prevent the spammers from flooding my blog with their bullshit, to reply on the blog you need to contact me via email, Facebook, or by phone. I will then add you to the user list and you’ll be able to reply here.

Some of the websites I’ve set up using the WordPress templates do allow non-users to reply and they have receive a lot of spam on their blog and some of it is pornographic in their offerings. Since this is for fun, I’d rather not be bothered with those type of replies.

Let me know if you want in and I’ll be glad to add you as a user, in most cases that is.

• Nina and I did lunch today.
• Erin is gone. after a week of her annoying Tori to the point of driving us crazy, we’re glad to see her go.
• Turns out ML’s hospice nurse knows Belle. Both Nina and I feel that this is not a good thing. More info to follow, maybe.
• Haven’t ridden for a bit so tomorrow I may take the Harley out for a run.
• Andy’s birthday was yesterday. It was a non-event here. He’s not impressed with such trivialities I guess. Debra cooked him a nice dinner.
• Credit card machine problems again right now. We’ll be 100% tomorrow morning sometime. We’re at 68% right now. We can do credit cards, but not debit cards.
• I talked to the credit card company about getting ready for 2015’s new regs and they said that it wouldn’t cost too much and that Walt would call me sometime soon and get us up to speed. In 10/15 everyone should be on the “chip & PIN” system. If you’re not using that then you assume liability for your losses due to fraud rather than the c/c company.
