What a day.

  • First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!
  • 5 a.m. phone call with drama is not a fun way to start the day.
  • Tiny, and I do mean tiny deposit. 5 checks and no cash.
  • Bad news on the store’s septic system. VERY expensive.
  • We’ve got only 20 inches of topsoil where 4 feet would be ideal.
  • It could cost us $25,000 just in dirt purchases if we can’t excavate dirt from our property. Either way is not an ideal situation.
  • We had to deliver Erin to her father this morning since Tori kept her due to very bad weather over the weekend.
  • Stupid expensive business!

Snow!

I plowed yesterday and today, and I’m sure that it will be needed again today.

Snowing like crazy here

  • I don’t miss this shit.
  • I will never wish to come back to live with so much snow.
  • NM has snow, but it’s usually gone in days, not weeks. Seems to make more sense that way.
  • I do enjoy watching them plow the lot at the restaurant here, but I can probably go to YouTube to find similar joys while sitting at home.
  • Friends and family are important, but they can move to NM too if the wish. I know Paul prefers Georgia.
  • I leave here tomorrow at 10:30 and arrive in NM at 12:30, a 3 hour flight.
  • Shit, it’s snowing even harder since I’ve started writing this!
