Erin returns home today. Last night we had severe storms pass through and Erin is afraid of the storms. I hope she was safe in Dilia, but I would have felt better with her here.

The storms were severe as I mentioned above. Quarter size hail and ½ inch of rain in less than an hour. Once over, the National Weather Service called us. they were looking for details about the storm and since they have no monitors in our area, they rely on us.
We’re also experiencing tornadoes this year. TV tells me that this is not normal, but I disagree. In all our years here, we’ve only been aware of one or two twisters.
All our years here . . . . makes it sound like we’ve been here for a long time. Well, if you consider 20 years a long time, we have been here for a long time. We arrived here June 13 or14, 1994. We took over ownership of this place July 1, 1994. We left Illinois on my 40th birthday to head here to deal with licensing issues, prior to taking possession of the place, to ensure a smooth transition for our customers.
We have some weather pending. Looks like rain even!
The car that caught fire here yesterday was towed out by 9:00. I was surprised and pleased. All too often we get stuck with the vehicle for days.
Later in the day we had someone drive over and get stuck on some of the poles we have lying around. Moron.
Marylou is not happy that we fired Henry. I told her that her opinion only counts when she pays the person.
I did mention that I fired Henry before, didn’t I? Well I did.
The weatherliar just showed a graphic stating that we have storms possible all the way through Wednesday.
I’m almost at 3000 miles on my bike already. Fun stuff.
It gets between 38 and 43 m.p.g. Quite a difference from the Jeep.
Anyone watching this “hidden cash” phenomenon on Twitter or the news? I’m not on Twitter but it is being reported all the time on the local news. When they show it, you see crowds racing across streets and through traffic. I wonder how long it will be before someone gets hurt or killed. It has arrived in Albuquerque.
I picked up our ATVs yesterday. Both had been idle for almost 2 years due to the drought. The forest was closed to public access due to dry conditions and even though there are ways to access out here, I wasn’t gonna be the guy that started the next local fire.
Hot weather lately. 95° most of the week so far. I look forward to next week when the weatherliars predict more seasonal weather for early June.
My birthday is Wednesday and I was planning on having a BBQ on the deck for some people, but I changed my mind. I think I’ll go out to dinner with Nina and we’ll do some tourist shit in Santa Fe. Heck, we might even do the Elephant Bar in Albuquerque since it’s been months. The Apple store is close to the Elephant Bar too.
but I don’t need bail money and I don’y have to hide any bodies yey. I guess it could be worse.
