The Isle of Man TT

While I’m fairly new to motorcycles . . . again, the TT has always been a source of curiosity to me. Martin Stott recently posted a video on Facebook from Vimeo that showed me how truly insane these motorcycle racers are. Unfortunately, I can’t post Vimeo vids here, so I went to YouTube and found this one, a longer and different video of the Isle of Man TT. I think I may call Martin and have him use his resources in the UK to find us housing and a place to watch this race next year. The race is held in late May to early June and the date is dependent on the weather.  Enjoy the video, if you are interested.

My boy Leroy

I know this will come as a shock to many of you, but Tori and Andy aren’t my only children. I have another son, older than Andy. His name is Leroy, as you probably guessed by the post title. Leroy stopped by for a short visit yesterday and I was very happy to see him, it’s been a while.

Leroy is a cop. A State Police officer with the state of NM. Early on in his career, I thought he was going to be one of “those” cops. One that just got by and somewhat of a screw up, but yesterday he proved me wrong. Leroy is now a sergeant with the NMSP. Such a good boy, he makes me proud.

As you may have guessed by now Leroy is not really my kid, but Nina and I kinda adopted him when he was transferred to this district. He lived on our property and while everyone thought that he was watching over the place in exchange for rent, we were watching over him. See above.

Eventually he moved out and bought a house in Rio Rancho, married, had more kids, and other shit. He lives in Copville. Rio Rancho has an inordinate number of cops living there. I’ve kept in touch with him and have used his name in vain to talk my way out of many speeding tickets over the years. Yes, I drive too fast.

One time, during a laser radar sting on I-25, I got caught speeding in that speed trap and the arresting officer just happened to be Leroy. I believe he had to do a song and dance to explain why he didn’t give me a ticket or even a warning ticket considering the speed I was clocked at.

Anyway, our adopted son is doing well and we feel some pride in his accomplishments.

Conundrum… (from mom again)

The definition of conundrum is something that is puzzling or confusing. Here are seven conundrums of creeping socialism in the United States of America:

1. America is capitalist and greedy – yet half of the population is subsidized.

2. Half of the population is subsidized – yet they think they are victims.

3. They think they are victims – yet their representatives run the government.

4. Their representatives run the government – yet the poor keep getting poorer.

5. The poor keep getting poorer – yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.

6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about – yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

7. They want America to be more like those other countries – because they think America is capitalist and greedy.

That pretty much sums up the USA and the 47% who pay no taxes.

Why do I even leave home?

  • Virtually every time I leave, my good mood and feelings are just shit on by this business or other sources.
  • This trip was killed by stupid employees and such.
  • I leave because I need to on occasion, but it’s like the shit just builds up and dumps on me all at once.
  • I’m thinking of firing 2 people, the senator’s grandson and my yard ape.
  • The grandson is just plain stupid. A level of stupid I haven’t seen in many years.
  • The yard ape is a tweaker and he’s been coming to work high. Plus he has a finance company dogging his ass and when they get tired of this, they’ll file for a court order for me to garnish his wages. I will fire him then. I don’t do that shit, it causes paperwork that I don’t want to do and I doubt Tori will do the paperwork.
  • I’m thinking of canceling all trips planned for the future.
  • Oh yeah, the freaking wind is back! The head weatherliar claims it will be here until well past the weekend.
  • ML is being a bitch still. I hope Shirley calls her to join her soon, but even a dead Shirley wouldn’t want to deal with this witch.

OTHER COMPLAINTS AND BITCHES

  • It’s just begun, but I’m already sick of the political campaigns that are now happening here. Backstabbing asswipes and chances are that they’re as guilty of all they accuse their opponent of.
  • I’m sick and tired of Ukraine and Crimea news. We should just butt out and mind our own damned business. Or nuke them.
  • More killer cop complaints in Albuquerque. Hey stupid crooks, quit pointing guns at cops and you won’t get shot, mostly. And the whining family and friends saying how wonderful that person was. Blow me, yesterday’s dumb ass puled a gun on a cop. That person deserved to die. That person was a criminal. Suck it up and quit whining.
  • I’d done for now.

Coming home info

I broke my trip down to 2 days of travel. I left the Easter dinner around 3 p.m. and drove to Litchfield Illinois to spend the night. This is the first time I stayed there on the way home, but I’m no stranger to Litchfield. It’s just under 300 miles.

4:30 found me on the road again and it was nice making it through St. Louis before rush hour. With all their continuing construction, rush hour can be hell.

Just outside of St. Louis, it started raining and I drove through varying stages of rain for the next 5 or 6 hours. I did not enjoy that, but my Jeep is now almost bug free. I finally broke out of the rain after passing through OKC. I was rain free until I was almost home and then I drove through light showers.

All in all it was a fairly pleasant trip home.

My Stay in Illinois

I stayed at Casa de Beppe, my favorite lodging facility when traveling to Illinois. Mom and I played many games of Scrabble and Mom even won a game. Sorry Mom, in July I’m sure you’ll be back on your game.

While in the Chicago area, I stopped and visited Archie and spent an hour chatting with her. She always seems to come up with another Marylou or A & S story that I can bring home to Nina. It was a nice visit and I always enjoy visiting with you Archie.

I also went to an Easter egg hunt at Kleyweg’s daughter’s house and saw Fat Ass and Johnson. I found out that both Don and I are fluent in signing. We held a very animated conversation just using our hands and fingers. I’m glad you finally learned a new skill Don. Of the 3 of us, Ed looks the oldest, like real old. I mean liver spot old. I also saw many of Susie’s family members, and Sue too.

Mom and I went to visit Mrs. Johnson while we were out and about too. She looks great. I’m guessing Ed took after Mr. J rather than Mrs. J. Or maybe not, last time I saw him, he looked pretty darn good too. We spent an hour with her and Mom and Mrs. J seemed to enjoy chatting together. I was just happy they didn’t start comparing “Glen Notes” in front of me.

Saturday night was dinner with Nan. We had a nice evening together and even went for a short ride in the Jeep. She was surprised how comfortable it was.

Other Shit

Happy earth day to all you hippies that read this blog. To celebrate I may bury some mercury.

I just saw a commercial for Lithia Chrysler Dodge and Jeep and I have to tell you, their commercials make me think of moving to Ford or GM.

Erin seems to have missed me while I was gone. She spent the night and she was always in contact with me during the night. Tonight she goes with Tori. She’s getting so big, to big to share our bed. So tall, so pretty.

Walk away from anything or anyone who takes away from your joy. Life is too short to put up with people who waste your time.

I be home.

  • Safely even.
  • Without getting a ticket.
  • Or killing a deer.
  • Or construction worker.
  • Or angering more than one person.
  • Or getting into a fight with the person I did anger.
  • Or falling asleep while driving.
  • Or even taking a short nap while driving.

Thanks for caring enough to check.
