Oompah-Loompah

  • Today the Oompah-Loompah comes to babysit MaryLou. While she is a nice person, she is sickeningly so. I can’t stand being around people that are overly nice, so I will leave for the day. This is the 3rd week in a row that she’s been here. She’s supposed to be here only every-other week. Jeannie is the other weekend caretaker that has been having the Oompah-Loompah work for her lately and I need to figure out a way to pay her back for this.
  • Tonight we have a HOG party at the dealership. I’m looking forward to it. Nina’s making the veggie pizza for the party as it’s a potluck. I think I’ll take some pictures and post them here, if I remember.
  • Erin is in Dilia. The fight between Will and Belle was not as previously stated, but was about Roger, Belle’s former beau, and his seeing Erin. They’re fine with him seeing Erin, Belle is mad that his new girlfriend is now seeing Erin too! Petty fools, they need to worry about more important things like getting JOBS, keeping JOBS, and Belle’s health.
  • We’ll do Christmas Eve with Erin and they’ll do Christmas Day with her.
  • The store will be open on Christmas, but with reduced hours.
  • In February, Nina and I will be going for HOG officer training. Well, I go for training, Nina’s coming to get away from here for the weekend. Harley-Davidson pays for the training and our expenses. I’ve been told that this is THE yearly event that can give me many new and valuable contacts around the country for rides and events that are destinations for riders. Everyone that I’ve talked to and has been to these before say it’s a great opportunity and the few that aren’t going are jealous.
  • The training this year is in Albuquerque and everyone’s disappointed that it’s so close to home. They all wanted to ride as a group to Las Vegas, NV for a longer time away. I’m supposed to wear our colors. I had to buy a vest and the required patches.
  • Well, it’s time for me to leave. The Oompah-Loompah has arrived.
No one is listening until you pass wind.

This is funny.

Three lawyers and three engineers are traveling by train to a conference. At the station, the three lawyers each buy tickets and watch as the three engineers buy only a single ticket.

“How are three people going to travel on only one ticket?” asked one of the three lawyers. “Watch and you’ll see,” answers one of the engineers. They all board the train. The lawyers take their respective seats but all three engineers cram into a restroom and close the door behind them.

Shortly after the train departed, the conductor comes around collecting tickets. He knocks on the restroom door and says, “Ticket, please.” The door opens just a crack and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand. The conductor takes it and moves on. The lawyers saw this and agreed it was quite a clever idea.

So after the conference, the lawyers decide to copy the engineers on the return trip and save some money. When they get to the station, they buy a single ticket for the return trip. To their astonishment, the engineers don’t buy a ticket at all.

“How are you going to travel without a ticket,” asks one perplexed lawyer.

“Watch and you’ll see,” says one of the engineers.

When they board the train the three lawyers cram into a restroom and the three engineers cram into another one nearby. The train departs. Shortly afterward, one of the engineers leaves his restroom and walks over to the restroom where the lawyers are hiding. He knocks on the door and says, “Ticket, please.”

Nice Party Last Night

fart

I went to the Men’s Night Out at the Harley dealership last night. I had a great time and there was a great turn out. Food was good and the staff was there on the clock to help us enjoy the night, and to make additional sales. I bought Nina’s Christmas present there, on sale! Thanks Tiffany.

I talked to Dennis this morning. Dennis is working with, I’m assuming, a committee about changing helmet laws. It sounds like this will be a very controversial issue if and when this gets submitted before the legislature this coming spring. I know that the anti-helmet people don’t want any law that restricts their choice. I’ll wear mine no matter what.

Anyone that reads this want a couple of dogs? Levy is looking to give his 2 pups away prior to moving out. He doesn’t see much chance that he’ll be able to keep them at his next living arrangement. I think the 2 of them total 50 pounds. Any interest, call 505-652-2085. he can send pictures. He’d prefer that they stay together, but he will separate them if needed.

ML is ranting again. Last night and now this morning. NINA, adjust her drugs to shut her up. Last night the rants were so varied that Nina had to write them down to tell me after the party. Now she’s ranting about the fact that we’re doomed because we don’t have Bell phone services and this has morphed into a rant about the sluttiness of women these days. And as quickly as I’m typing this, we are now reliving the depression and how people were better back then than they are now. People are animals and nothing better. Lions have more honor than we do. It’s amazing how strange than mind is. For a person that has never had sex, she’s sure an expert on the topic, in her own mind. She had plenty of offers mind you, but none of them were German and she promised Papa that she’d never marry anything but a German. Will someone kill me now? Please? Don’t make me do this myself.

My life is stranger than your life!
That does not mean that I’m enjoying it, it’s just strange.

More b.s.

Erin went with me to Old Fartz today. She was quite popular, even being the shy little creature she is at times. I explained her presence as “If Caroline can bring her sister (a nun), I can bring my granddaughter.”

We went to Harley again, I had to buy her a patch for her motorcycle vest. Pics to follow soon I hope. She terrorized the female staff there again. SFH-D is now her favorite place for me to take her. This is what I was informed as we drove home.
Me: “Better than Burger King?”
Her: “Yes Pake, the girls there are all my friends!”
Me: “Who’s your favorite?”
Her: “I forget her name, but she’s the tall one.”
Me: “Tiffany?”
Her: “That’s the one!”
I’m petitioning for a dealership name change to Santa Fe Harley Davidson and Daycare.

General B.S.

  • I’m really getting sick of the Christmas sale emails! I get them from online retailers, brick and mortar retailers, credit card companies, Paypal, companies I’ve never used before, and companies that sell me my pens.
  • As quick as I delete them, they reappear it seems. Most of them are companies I enjoy shopping with online and while I’m tempted to mark them all as spam, I would hate to miss that occasional great deal.
  • It’s hard to believe that Christmas is next week. This year just screamed on by. Next on the email agenda, post Christmas sales! You just can’t freaking win.
  • Words With Friends. I hate that game! I agreed to play WWF with Johnson and now I’ve got 4 games going with different people that noticed I’m playing it. Scrabble allows you to click on a square and then type the word in place, WWF doesn’t. You have to move the tile manually to each square with the mouse. Scrabble takes most words, including a lot of common usage slang, WWF doesn’t.
  • Ed, if you’re reading this, you suck.
  • WWF is just a scrabble rip off.
  • Erin is mine all day today. both Nina and Tori have plans that don’t include her and we are going to do some stuff today. I’m not sure what she has planned for me, but I’m sure that it’s not going to be a good thing for me.
  • Thursday I’m going to a party at Harley. Men’s night at SFH-D starting at 5:30. Then on Saturday evening we have the dealership Christmas party starting at 6:00.
  • Done.

Cold, OK. Hot, sorta OK. Humid, Ehhh. Snow, OK. Rain, OK. I hate this damned wind though!

I can’t remember the last time we had such severe winds. It was a nightmare driving today. The only time it was bearable was when we were headed east on I-40 and then it had me running 100 m.p.h. with no effort on the part of the engine.

We picked up Erin from Dilia today. She’s dressed in all purple and she’s got a cut thumb from peeling potatoes with Belle. Once we got home, I had to make a customized bandage for her thumb, something that is pretty common here. Her fingers are so tiny that we don’t have Erin sized bandaids here. It cut into her nail bed.

Nina and Erin are decorating the Christmas tree as I type this. That little tree is gonna get overloaded with ornaments.

Last night’s party

  • Last night’s HOG party was a fun evening. We learned a lot about each other and had a nice meal catered by The Ranch House.
  • Drove home at 10:45 through a blinding snow storm which quit dead 5 miles from home. Not sure if the storm cause accumulation west of us, but we got nothing!
  • For once the weatherliar got it right.
  • We’re picking up Erin today.
  • I’m going in February to POT for HOG with Nina. I forget what the P stands for but the OT means officer training. It will be in Albuquerque and the dealership is paying for it. There’s supposed to be 900 other HOG members there and there will be a lot of networking between groups. I can’t wait.
  • That’s it for now. More later, maybe.
No Pithy Saying Today. Sorry.
