Over the past week I was asked 3 times why I don’t allow replies on my blog. Well I do allow replies and you need to know how to contact me “off blog” to do so. In an effort to prevent the spammers from flooding my blog with their bullshit, to reply on the blog you need to contact me via email, Facebook, or by phone. I will then add you to the user list and you’ll be able to reply here.
Some of the websites I’ve set up using the WordPress templates do allow non-users to reply and they have receive a lot of spam on their blog and some of it is pornographic in their offerings. Since this is for fun, I’d rather not be bothered with those type of replies.
Let me know if you want in and I’ll be glad to add you as a user, in most cases that is.
Erin is gone. after a week of her annoying Tori to the point of driving us crazy, we’re glad to see her go.
Turns out ML’s hospice nurse knows Belle. Both Nina and I feel that this is not a good thing. More info to follow, maybe.
Haven’t ridden for a bit so tomorrow I may take the Harley out for a run.
Andy’s birthday was yesterday. It was a non-event here. He’s not impressed with such trivialities I guess. Debra cooked him a nice dinner.
Credit card machine problems again right now. We’ll be 100% tomorrow morning sometime. We’re at 68% right now. We can do credit cards, but not debit cards.
I talked to the credit card company about getting ready for 2015’s new regs and they said that it wouldn’t cost too much and that Walt would call me sometime soon and get us up to speed. In 10/15 everyone should be on the “chip & PIN” system. If you’re not using that then you assume liability for your losses due to fraud rather than the c/c company.
I can usually feel what day it is, but today, while I know it’s Tuesday, it feels like any day but Tuesday. I hate this, holidays suck.
Today we did the banking and I did some web work for a friend. Stupid shit that is fairly easy. I’ll do some more later this evening for him and try to finish tomorrow.
Erin, Nina, and I did breakfast at Charlie’s again, just like any other Monday. While they waited for me at the restaurant, I did the banking. Bank regs are getting to be a pain in the ass lately. Lucky the bank officers are all friendly with me.
Erin and I picked up three Plecostomus, algae eaters, for her fish tank. They’re having a feast there. I never realized how much algae had accumulated since I clean the front glass regularly. The side and rear glass seem to have needed cleaning too and that’s where they are feasting. I hope they don’t get too large for the tank.
Erin and Debra are doing schoolwork together at the kitchen table. She’s doing very well and she’s pretty happy with this situation. We were singing the alphabet song on the way into town this morning.
