Unlock any cell phone easily, except verizon phones.

Why unlock your phone?

  • If you travel out of the country and wish to use a local SIM card for the cheaper prices that this offers, you’ll want to unlock your phone.
  • If you need a second phone number on occasion, like me, you’ll want to unlock your phone. (I use a T-Mobile sim to call dead beats with an unrecognized phone number.)
  • If you are a felon and you need to hide your phone number from any possible police surveillance on your friends and family, you’ll need an unlocked phone.

While in Europe this past trip, I just decided to use the AT&T foreign roaming services. Big mistake! I expected to pay a small premium, but it cost me about $300 for the 2 phones. Previously I used local sim cards and it cost me about $60 for 2 phones and they all offered FREE data, which is very helpful when lost and using the maps features of your phone. Also, in Europe, the caller pays for the call to your phone and you garner no charge for someone calling you, something that is not offered when you use your regular carrier.

Once again, this does not work with Verizon.

  • Miles I have on my bike since March.
  • As luck would have it, my appointment coincided with the “Old Fartz” lunch group. They go for a ride every wednesday and end up at a restaurant for lunch. 16 bikes today.
  • My bike was ready 10 minutes after they left, but I knew where they were going. Met some nice people today. Knew a few of them from other rides.
  • I rode about 100 miles today doing just stuff. Home to Santa to Pecos to home for gas to Vegas to home.
  • Chilly, but invigorating, start of the day. Warmed up nicely and I rode home from Vegas without a jacket.
  • It was nice getting back on the bike after 2 weeks, in a serious manner that is. I can feel that I have been off of it for a  while.
  • I’m looking forward to more Old Fartz rides.

Today

  • Harley for a recall fix. 1 hour in and out was promised.
  • Walgreens for a flu shot.
  • San Miguel County offices to sign some paperwork pertaining to lodger’s tax awards.
  • Home the long way? Maybe.
  • Hopefully Las Vegas Diesel will come here and fix my tractor today. I need to do some work with it.

From Mom

A Harley Biker is riding by the zoo in Washington, DC when he sees a
little girl leaning into the lion’s cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the collar of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.

Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A reporter has watched the whole event.

The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, ‘Sir, this was the most
gallant and brave thing I’ve seen a man do in my whole life.’

The Harley rider replies, ‘Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt right.’

The reporter says, ‘Well, I’ll make sure this won’t go unnoticed. I’m a
journalist, you know, and tomorrow’s paper will have this story on the front page… So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you have?’

The biker replies, I’m a U.S. Marine and a Republican.

The journalist leaves.

The following morning the biker buys the Washington Post to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:

U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT AND STEALS HIS LUNCH

…and THAT pretty much sums up the media’s approach to the news these days…
