Well, Longmire is gone.

  1. The Longmire crew is gone. They fed me today at breakfast. I was not impressed.
  2. I broke my car yesterday. $800+ expense that I didn’t need. Stupid on my part.
  3. I can pick up my car tomorrow. It had to be towed in. Stupid.
  4. I rode to Santa Fe today because the dealership is also stupid and couldn’t keep my car form starting on it’s own. Don’t all the cars  have the start on their own volition feature? Dumb asses!
  5. While in SF I stopped in at Harley. It’s nice that most times when there I get to shoot the shit with a friend for a while. Nuttman was there getting his bike serviced.  Dizzy Jake was there also, but he left shortly after I got there. He got service too. He’s going to Indiana tomorrow and wanted to have his oil changed.
  6. There’s a lot of guys that have road names.
  7. This allergy season has kicked my ass. I’ve finished all the Locket’s that I brought back from London and now I’m facing the decision of flying to London again to restock or get a box of them on Amazon.com. Tough decision.
  8. We signed a contract recently for new gas pumps to be compliant with the EMV chips on credit and debit cards.
  9. We also informed the realtor that we’re raising the price $100K because of that improvement.
  10. We chose Gilbarco pumps because they have a US based tech support instead of Asian based. They always got pissed at me when I would ask for a agent whose first language is ENGLISH!
  11. We should be compliant in 5 weeks.
  12. That’s all.

Memorial Ride

The SDC-HOG Chapter is doing a memorial ride for Larry McGee. Larry was a founding member of the chapter and we’re taking his favorite ride to Taos via the High Road to Taos and having lunch at his favorite restaurant there, 5 Star Burgers. Kathy, his wife will ride up front with Bob, Bob, Bob.

We’re expecting a huge crowd for this ride and it’s always impressive seeing a long line of bikes snaking through the curves on the High Road. It’ll take us an hour to get there from Santa Fe and probably another 2 hours to eat and shoot the shit. Nina and I will probably return home on a different route that is shorter for us and pretty scenic in its own right. The last time I did that route, I rode 64 miles without having to pass or slow for another vehicle. It was a very good ride!
