. . . . is back in jail.
Let’s roll it back a few years. Joe Griego broke into our store a few years back and stole our ATM. He did it in 47 seconds. I was impressed actually, but I still pressed charges. He got caught, arrested, offered a deal, turned it down, was convicted, sentenced to 7 years with no parole, and just got out a couple of months ago. We got a restitution check from him, $10, the first of many promised checks to reimburse us for our losses.
Coming back to today. A couple of weeks ago the Romeroville gas station was robbed at gunpoint. Today, Joe was arrested for that crime. It appears that he did not learn a lesson. It also appears that we will not be getting any more checks from him.
Since I’ve been carrying a pistol anytime I’m here, I’m glad he didn’t chose us to rob again.
