LIBERALS CAN NOW SHUT UP.
There are 3,141 counties in the United States.
Trump won 3,084 of them.
Clinton won 57.
There are 62 counties in New York State.
Trump won 46 of them.
Clinton won 16.
Clinton won the popular vote by approx. 1.5 million votes.
In the 5 counties that encompass NYC, (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Richmond & Queens) Clinton received well over 2 million more votes than Trump. (Clinton only won 4 of these counties; Trump won Richmond)
Therefore these 5 counties alone, more than accounted for Clinton winning the popular vote of the entire country.
These 5 counties comprise 319 square miles.
The United States is comprised of 3, 797,000 square miles.
When you have a country that encompasses almost 4 million square miles of territory, it would be ludicrous to even suggest that the vote of those who inhabit a mere 319 square miles should dictate the outcome of a national election.
Large, densely populated Democrat cities (NYC, Chicago, LA, etc) don’t and shouldn’t speak for the rest of our country.
Cold and cloudy
- Weather is not nice.
- I want it to warm up.
- I’ve become someone that likes warm weather.
- Poor Nina, she hates the cold.
I hate snow
Can’t ride in snow. Snow sucks. White Christmas? Bah Humbug!
Husband and Wife Christmas Shopping
A couple were in a busy shopping center just before Christmas. The wife suddenly noticed that her husband was missing and as they had a lot to do, so she called him on the mobile.
The wife said ” Where are you, you know we have lots to do.”
He said “You remember the jewelers we went into about 10 years ago, and you fell in love with that diamond necklace? I could not afford it at the time and I said that one day I would get it for you?”
Little tears started to flow down her cheek and she got all
choked up…
“Yes, I do remember that shop.” she replied.
“Well I am in the gun shop next door to that.”
Family Time
So all of the above, gathered at Keith & Kathleen’s home for our 2017 Thanksgiving dinner. Paul, front and center, took the picture with his selfie stick and it turned out pretty good. Nice job Paul
THE TRIP HOME
Well, we drove to Illinois in one shot and we said we wouldn’t come home that way, but it appears that I lied to Andy and myself. We did it in the Google Maps allotted time of just under 18 hours. It’s pretty cool that they can get the time so close.
For all that care; Mom is doing well. She’s back in Illinois and working on getting back into her Illinois routine. Beth drover her in and Carl and Nancy conspired to get Beth back home. A casino was involved. Andy was questioned about the baby and all were inform that it miscarried. Carl was Carl. Nothing else to say, other than coatracks. Don’t ask. Keith is Keith. Paul is in the process of getting a divorce and it was a well avoided topic of conversation. All the nephews and nieces are doing well and were present, except for AJ who was working.
Nina, Tori and Debra were together for Thanksgiving. They did a small meal and we are celebrating as a family today and including Erin’s birthday as part of the Thanksgiving celebration. Fitting really.
Anyway, i’m back to posting and take solace in the fact that I never once thought about this blog while I was gone. It was nice actually.
Peace!
Trump
He’s his own worst enemy. He’s older than dirt and he’s trying to use a Twitter account like he’s a civilian. Ditch the Twitter you twit, you have no filters, take it from someone that also has no filters, leave that shit to the kids and millennial assholes!
That said, I’m still waiting for a millennial to scream in my face. I really hate those whiners and would love an excuse to label one of them.
Morning Routines
Every morning when I let the dogs out, I watch in amazement as they run this rabbit chasing routine. They race out to the cabin, turn left and Maggie goes around the container while Bones guards the near side to catch anything that Maggie flushes out, and if nothing runs, they race to the other side of the yard to see if there’s anyone out there to bark at. Every day this happens.
Windy Yesterday
- Wind was so bad it stripped a thermometer off my deck and I still can’t find it.
- Gusts up to 90 m.p.h. With that velocity, I’m lucky that the thermometer was the only thing I’ve found missing.
- It’s in the 20’s right now. Feels good with no wind.
