Another Harley Day
- Met Bearclaw for the first time today. SDC-HOG member that lives in Alaska. He’s in the process of moving down her.
- Brought my bike in for the second time to have the 20K done and it actually got done.
- Yesterday, Nuttman and I drove down to Socorro to swap 2 of our bikes for 2 bikes from Las Cruces.
- Picked up a Road King from Los Alamos today.
- Saw Johnny at the store too. He finally back, but commuting to Durango to finish his contract.
- Nice ride home on a clean bike. (They washed it for me.)
people are so damned stupid.

Full Moon over White Sands
On May 10th, Nina and I are going to Alamogordo to White Sand’s National Monument to watch the full moon rise over the desert. It’s a HOG ride.
Good Days!
Yesterday:
Went for a short ride with Jim. Meet up at Lone Butte and ride to Madrid for coffee at Java Junction. We’re there about 30 minutes when Johnny shows up unexpectedly, a nice surprise! About 20 more minutes pass and Steve shows up. Three hours later, we left and road home, cutting from the pack as we hit our turnoffs. Three of us made a power run the entire length of Rte. 42. Good fun!
Today:
We’re meeting at Harley at 10:00 and riding down to Quarai Ruins in Mountainair, NM. Lunch at Jerry’s Ancient Cities Cafe. Should be a fun day. Fred is coming down from Colorado for the ride. He’ll join Nina and I for the ride to SF and we’ll meet about a dozen or so riders there.
Leaving Mountainair, several of us will make the trip to the Blue Corn Cafe for the farewell party for Frenchy and Jason, who are moving to Louisiana. I’ll miss Frenchy, she a lot of fun. Jason’s a pretty nice guy, but reserved and a lone wolf when riding. We should be home around 7:00 p.m.
Tomorrow:
Probably more miles put on the Harley after the morning banking.
Cloudy here, Sunny in Santa Fe
I may have to hit the road later than I had hoped. Weather is a bit touchy today. The clouds are all the way down to below the mesa top across the highway from us. At least we can still see the bar.
I’m going to Madrid again. Going to sit at Java Junction and drink coffee and watch the tourists.
HEY! The hummingbirds are back! Just saw 3 of them fighting for food!
