Our little day trip to Yeso, pronounced yay-so, which means white rock or gypsum. We did 261 miles on this little jaunt into history. This was Nina’s first trip to Yeso. Only thing we would do different, would be to bring a lunch.
Yesterday’s ride marked the mid-point of my weekend of milage. All told I expect to finish the weekend of riding at about 750 miles. Today’s ride is with Nina and her alone. Not sure where we will ride, but we will ride. Friday, we rode to the No Scum (see previous post), and yesterday we rode to Las Vegas for a breakfast ride.
I was tracking my milage just to determine what kind of milage I can expect on my ride to Holland to visit Mom, and I am getting about 40 m.p.g. on the bike.
For those that may be interested, the route I’m considering can be viewed here. That still may change, but probably not much. It has a nice mix of highway and backroads. I’ve talked with several people about this route and one of them is a photographer & writer for HOG magazine and he does these type of rides for Harley-Davidson.
