I just wonder if the “smart people” who gave us the Iowa caucuses and a series of hoaxes (Russia, Russia, Russia, “fine people”, Covington High School, cats and dogs, living together, mass hysteria, etc) honestly, truly believe that it’s Donald Trump’s job to get up in the morning and start pouring through virology textbooks in a feverish (no pun) attempt to figure out how to solve the coronavirus situation.  

I have a news flash for those of you stuck in the mindset of actually, truly thinking it’s Trump’s job to try to figure out what to do about the coronavirus situation: It’s not Trump’s job to try to figure out what to do about the coronavirus situation.  

It’s already been been figured out. The CDC has been solving it for decades. And when the coronavirus raised its head, the CDC reached into a bookshelf and pulled out a cook book of sorts entitled something to the effect of “What to Do if a Novel Virus Becomes Epidemic”. And they start going through it and it says the virology-epidemiology equivalent of “Get eggs, butter and flour, etc., and then put everything together in the following manner, etc.”  

Donald Trump is not trying to write the cookbook. The cookbook is already there. Donald Trump’s job is to make sure that the cake (or cookies) gets baked. And so he tasked the   second most powerful man in the world (VP Pence, because Trump also has about 10,000 other things he has to be concerned about) to make sure that the chefs have the eggs, butter, flour, mixing bowl and everything else they need to bake the cake . And so far there’s zero indication from the CDC that they’re not getting everything that they need.  And it is simply delusional for people think that Mike Pence is going to manage the situation by pulling out the Pence Family Bible and use it as a guide in this process. Absolutely delusional.  

Nobody’s being silenced. The CDC is not begging for funding. Everything is in place. People just need to chill the hell out and let the people who know what to do do what they know needs to be done. That and wash your hands of hell of a lot. That’s it.    So this horseshit about Trump “dropping the ball” on coronavirus is just that, horseshit. And my strong recommendation is that people pull up their trousers and try like hell not to step in it.
