Things that make me smile

  • Tori counting the money I gave her in exchange for 4 $20 bill.
  • DJ sitting on the bottom shelf of a cart, playing video games.
  • Getting clocked @ 120 m.p.h and knowing he can’t turn around!
  • Making it home in 25 minutes instead of 40 minutes. Poor cop.
  • Getting treated like Norm from Cheers @ Santa Fe Harley.
  • Riding my old bike during a service and knowing I made the right move in trading up.
  • Hearing one of the best riders I know, a professional bike racer, telling a room full of people that I’m a damned good rider.
  • Knowing I’m going shooting tomorrow morning with a group of people and knowing I get to tell them what to do.
  • Thinking about my upcoming ride to Michigan to see Mom next month.
  • Riding home on a clean bike after getting it serviced.
  • Spaghetti for lunch! It was very good and homemade @ Harley.
  • Nina.
  • Tori.
  • Andy.
  • Erin. (She went to Belle’s this weekend, and immediately got an earache. When her father picked her up, the earache was gone! She doesn’t like going to her other grandmother’s and THAT MAKES ME SMILE A LOT!)
  • That’s it for now.

SOMETHING THAT DID
NOT MAKE ME SMILE!

I got to Harley today and my bike sounded like an old tractor when I took my helmet off. I thought, “This doesn’t sound right!”  The store owner walked by about the same time and he said, “This doesn’t sound right!” I said, “No shit!” He said,  “Bring it into service and have them jump on it so we can get you out of here so you can ride.” So I did. Two hours later I was on the road again with a new set of headers on my bike. I had to pay for it since it was a weekend and aftermarket can’t be warranted on weekends, but I’ll get the money back.

It broke right at the crossover weld. Service said that I should get all my money refunded since it’s an obvious flaw. The service I got did make me smile though. Place in the front of everyone, a loaner bike, great lunch, and having out at SFHD can’t really be considered a bad day.
