It was great seeing Mom, Beth, and Nancy on this trip. Erin feels the same. She talked about them repeatedly on the way home.
I enjoyed the variety of places for breakfast out. My favorite was the Windmill Cafe in the downtown district. Biscuit and gravy with eggs on top!
The week was not ideal for the beach, but Erin and I did it anyway and she had a ball. Kids just never seem to feel cold water, but I spent time in the lake too.
The extra passenger, Steven, was nice for me. We talked when we weren’t listening to what we have on our phones. I did 2.75 books and I have no clue what he listened to. Erin did the iPad thing and she was well entertained on the trip.
We met Julie and Anni at Sam’s Club in Holland both times and it was nice seeing them again.
I took Erin to Dutch Village and she loved it. I can see her insisting on returning there next year. The ferris wheel was her favorite.
I’m sure if I sit here and dwell on it I could come up with other shit to say, but I’m ready to head out for the day with Nina and I need to check the Jeep and see if it is habitable again.
I am a husband, father, grandfather, friend, business owner, traveller, Harley rider, citizen, patriot, gun owner, politically eclectic person of strange personal habits. I support police, trust no politicians, and can argue any side of an argument just to amuse myself. People love me or hate me and those that are in-between don't know me.
