Happy Erinday!

Nina and I picked up Erin from Dilia this afternoon. After 10 minutes of pleasantries with Will’s family, I said enough and we left. I’m abrupt sometimes. We did the McDonald’s thing on the way home and found that they had the McRib again. Nina and I both had one and it was great. I’ll probably do another one before they stop selling them.

Erin told us that she is “hyper-genic” on the way home. that means she’s hyper and genic, whatever genic means.

Tomorrow Erin, Nina and Erin’s Mom leave for Florida. Disney World! they come back on Saturday sometime. Erin is “hyper-insane” about leaving. I know what insane means and it’s close to how she’s acting. Erin has been given a whole bunch of money to spend at Disney. $200 from 1 person, $100 combined from 4 people, $160 combined from another 3 people. She’s pretty well liked and that makes me wonder what I did wrong as a kid. No one ever threw that kinda money at me when I was her age and going on vacation.

RAIN! Storm Even! Thunder too.

We made it home before the rain. We just had a lightning bolt strike close by and the thunder clap set off my car alarm’s shock sensor. It was startling to say the least.

Looks like I’ll be doing some grading with the tractor tomorrow. It’s always easier to do this when the ground is wet.

We arrived home and saw 2 guys on Harleys making ready for the rain. Rather than wait it out, they’re gonna push on. I have the rain gear for both Nina and I, but I almost would prefer to wait it out.

Sunday Drive

Before picking up Erin, Nina and I took a nice long drive. About 250 miles worth of a drive. Breakfast at Harry’s Roadhouse and we headed south from there until we were south of I-40. We like the area south of 40 and we seem to head that way frequently. It also works well in picking up Erin since Dilia is just north of 40.
