I changed the links for this blog. I’ve added drop-down menus that will allow you to see only the items you wish and you can skip the stuff you’ve already viewed.
I returned my king sized throne to the front room. While we removed it because it was more dominating than the couch, I brought it back because of my coccyx pain. Softer and more roomy and it gives Erin more room to cuddle with me. It does need a good cleaning though. I do sit higher in this than my other chair.
Joan Rivers is dead. Big deal. Why are we supposed to get all weepy over the death of a celebrity? They live, they die. They earn, they die. They entertain, they die. They/we all die. I’m not going to mourn her, or any other celeb for that matter.
Erin returns to us on Sunday. She spent the week at the Hern’s place. She’s less than happy going there now and that pleases me sorta. I know I shouldn’t be so damned catty, but I’m not rubbing this in their faces or anything, but I’m still pleased.
I’m working on a website for his new venture. Blue Arrow Motors in Diamond Illinois. Still a bit of work needed, but it’s up and running, just waiting for the State of Illinois licensing department approval. The inspector assigned to Ed’s area is on vacation so Ed has to wait. SOS in Illinois.
I’m getting tired of maintaining my air hose and I just bought 3 air chucks to replace the bad one and once they have been trashed I will be out of the air business. I’ll maintain a hose in the garage and let friends use it, but no more public air. People treat this service like shit and I’m sick of it.
Every single phone call I received was interrupted by another call or someone asking me a question. During the meeting I was at I turned my phone to airplane mode to keep from receiving any calls. I tried calling Nina during the trip home and couldn’t figure the problem out until I remembered the mode switch.
The meeting went fine, but once again a phone annoyed me. This was a call to the group that was supposed to last 15 minutes that ended up being 45 minutes long. He just talked and talked and talked and wouldn’t shut up. The company he owns is called Internet Honey, which in my mind suits him cause he kept talking like a girl.
If anyone is interested, I have that missing Malaysian Boeing 777 parked out back. Don’t tell the searchers! The passengers and crew all took a shuttle to the Pojoaque Pueblo casino. I don’t think they’re coming back.
The weatherliars are predicting wetness here again. They’re such douches. “it’s gonna rain, but maybe 50% or more will evaporate before it hits the ground.”
I think it’s safe for me to put my snow plow away. I bet Nancy wishes she could say the same. Still in Fla. guys?
I’m thinking of taking my air miles and using them to go somewhere and just get away from here for a week. Anyone want to join me? I can do business class with all the miles I got now. London because I love that town? Amsterdam for the red-light district? Paris to get spit on by the snooty French? Rome to see the Pope? Hell, I’ll probably will just drive to Chicago next month and see Mom.
Erin left yesterday. Stupid Herns just keep pissing Tori off. I’d tell you what happened but that would just aggregate her.
One of the public shitters backed up yesterday. I was on the phone when this happened too. I just remembered that and didn’t want to edit earlier writings. I then had to hunt down a real mop and mob bucket. MY employees like tiny little mops that are about the size of Q-Tips and just as effective. MY employees like just a plain bucket over a wringer bucket that is more efficient. MY employees are idiots. (Not meaning Andy and Tori.)
Fracking? You guys know what it is? I know my friends out here do, but some of my eastern friends may not know or care. I have the solution to stop fracking. Tax all water in the county enough to make fracking cost prohibitive. Exempt all non-commercial and residential uses. Exempt all agri users too. Hell, exempt all current water uses and it would do the same thing. Fracking is an oil extraction procedure that uses millions of gallons of water to fracture the bedrock in the area around a played out oil well to release the trapped oil.
Maybe today will be a nice day.
With Tori’s little piss creators no longer allowed in my house, we had the carpet cleaned today. It looks good. We even did Tori’s old room, which I felt should be sealed up and never entered again. It should have been declared a hazardous waste zone and posted as such. The carpet looked black at points.
We moved some furniture around and into Tori’s old room and the living room looks more spacious and brighter. I don’t want to replace the furniture anytime soon, but I’m sure that I’ll be overruled soon. The more spacious part is something I could care less about, but the brighter is a nice thing.
I’m going to move one of the hospital bed into Erin’s old room and that will be ML’s room. 2 old people, 2 bedrooms. It makes it easier for them to be put down at night and we can separate them when they fight.
Citibank cost me some online savings this week and that’s the reason for my last posting here. 3 times total their “fraud detection” apparatus canceled my charges with Zagg when I was ordering some extra lightning cables. They were $5 off as a daily deal, but Shitibank cancelled all my tries at making this because they suspected fraud. Zagg is a company that I’ve patronized for years. So is Apple. Yet Shitibank feels that every time I buy online from either of these companies, they sense fraud. Now what I lost was only $20, but this whole thing is pissing me off greatly. I’m thinking of calling them again and see if they can placate me somehow.
The living wage in Santa Fe has claimed another business. Village Inn, a nationwide pancake restaurant has left SF claiming the living wage as the main cause of doing so. Their lease expired at the end of last year and there was no mention of a rent increase in the article, just the living wage law that SF councilors jammed down businesses throats. I know of at least a dozen of places that closed due to the living wage law and Village Inn is the latest.
Way to go Santa Fe! You’ve placed another 30-50 people out of work.
