- I’m really getting sick of the Christmas sale emails! I get them from online retailers, brick and mortar retailers, credit card companies, Paypal, companies I’ve never used before, and companies that sell me my pens.
- As quick as I delete them, they reappear it seems. Most of them are companies I enjoy shopping with online and while I’m tempted to mark them all as spam, I would hate to miss that occasional great deal.
- It’s hard to believe that Christmas is next week. This year just screamed on by. Next on the email agenda, post Christmas sales! You just can’t freaking win.
- Words With Friends. I hate that game! I agreed to play WWF with Johnson and now I’ve got 4 games going with different people that noticed I’m playing it. Scrabble allows you to click on a square and then type the word in place, WWF doesn’t. You have to move the tile manually to each square with the mouse. Scrabble takes most words, including a lot of common usage slang, WWF doesn’t.
- Ed, if you’re reading this, you suck.
- WWF is just a scrabble rip off.
- Erin is mine all day today. both Nina and Tori have plans that don’t include her and we are going to do some stuff today. I’m not sure what she has planned for me, but I’m sure that it’s not going to be a good thing for me.
- Thursday I’m going to a party at Harley. Men’s night at SFH-D starting at 5:30. Then on Saturday evening we have the dealership Christmas party starting at 6:00.
- Done.

Windy
Another windy day. Driving is less than fun.
Cold, OK. Hot, sorta OK. Humid, Ehhh. Snow, OK. Rain, OK. I hate this damned wind though!
I can’t remember the last time we had such severe winds. It was a nightmare driving today. The only time it was bearable was when we were headed east on I-40 and then it had me running 100 m.p.h. with no effort on the part of the engine.
We picked up Erin from Dilia today. She’s dressed in all purple and she’s got a cut thumb from peeling potatoes with Belle. Once we got home, I had to make a customized bandage for her thumb, something that is pretty common here. Her fingers are so tiny that we don’t have Erin sized bandaids here. It cut into her nail bed.
Nina and Erin are decorating the Christmas tree as I type this. That little tree is gonna get overloaded with ornaments.
Last night’s party
- Last night’s HOG party was a fun evening. We learned a lot about each other and had a nice meal catered by The Ranch House.
- Drove home at 10:45 through a blinding snow storm which quit dead 5 miles from home. Not sure if the storm cause accumulation west of us, but we got nothing!
- For once the weatherliar got it right.
- We’re picking up Erin today.
- I’m going in February to POT for HOG with Nina. I forget what the P stands for but the OT means officer training. It will be in Albuquerque and the dealership is paying for it. There’s supposed to be 900 other HOG members there and there will be a lot of networking between groups. I can’t wait.
- That’s it for now. More later, maybe.
No Pithy Saying Today. Sorry.
Saturday’s Breaking News!
- OK, breaking news is a bit strong. I got nothing really, just the usual b.s. that rules our lives.
- Tori and Michael went out to dinner and a movie last night, and HE PAID. Must feel nice having the true definition of a boyfriend for once Tori? Your mother never paid when we were dating. for that matter, she still doesn’t.
- Does that make Nina a cheapskate? Probably not.
- Yesterday, Nina and I did Steaksmith again. Normally I do the primed rib, but I went for the filet and a baker. Nina did the fish as usual.
- Tonight we’re going to the Pearson’s house for a “getting to know you” dinner and meeting. They own the H-D dealership and this is an officer’s meeting.
- Talk of snow out here. I’ll believe it when I see it. I’m pretty sure I could kill any chance of snow by getting my plow ready.
- Oh boy, the weatherliar said we could have as much as 1 foot of snow overnight!
- Tori just left. They had a nice time last night.
Over thinking kills your happiness.
One last edit to this posting. I am greatly disturbed by Tori’s new boyfriend’s name. Michael. Tori and Michael. Every time I hear that I think of Michael Levy, the lecherous bastard that lives near us. It’s just wrong. Tori, Michael needs to change his name. Sorry, but that’s the way it has to be.
Breakfast with Andy
- Andy and I did the breakfast thing. Left at 7 a.m.
- We went to The Spic and had a nice breakfast.
- Talked about a bunch of different things.
- Went to Las Fuertes, a ghost town and wandered there a bit.
- Made it home by 9 a.m.
- Talked to Ed today, again.
- Tiffany called me again. I’m going to see her this afternoon.
- Nina’s coming with me. Tiffany’s my salesperson at Harley.
- Nina got her appliances fixed today. She’s happy again.
- We got our new insurance cards today. We are insured.
- I’m amazed. Nina originally applied and failed. I redid her application and made some creative changes to her facts and we have insurance.
- Some shit never changes.
- Peace out.
The left wants us to be embarrassed?
Wise Women!
Just a little something for the female readers of my blog.
Old Fartz Lunch & Other Shit.
- The world famous Old Fartz lunch was today and I actually made it there, on my bike even.
- The stereo on my bike wasn’t working as I left the store. I tried everything I could think of to fix it. I pushed all the buttons, both on the radio and the grip controls. No joy. I even flipped it off and swore at it and NOTHING!
- I figured that it’s no big deal, I could just take the bike in after lunch and have the dealership look at it.
- Lunch went great, there were about 25 attendees in a very cramped space. British pub styled food, one of my favorite ethnic types of food.
- Good food, good conversations, can’t be beat.
- Left the restaurant and after I suited up and started the bike up, the damned radio was working! Shit, now what reason was I going to use to visit the dealership?
- Went anyway and talked to Rudy about it and he noted the issue on my bike’s record. Better than nothing.
- Last night was Ladies Night at the dealership, no Nina did not go, and Wayne was the hit of the night with his dancing skills. I saw that on FB and he was getting razzed about it by quite a few customers. A 17 second clip on FB and a lifetime of humor.
- On the way home I listened to my previously busted radio. Talk radio even. One of the nationally syndicated conservative leaning mouthpieces was slamming Pelosi and Feinstein.
- Dinner tonight was brats on the grill. Love the Johnsonville brats.
- Erin was like she was on crack this evening. She had a nap. Funny how her nap rejuvenates her and gives her boundless energy and a nap of the same length just leaves me barely alive.
- Tori got a text from Michael this evening and Erin and I intercepted it and sent him a picture of the both of us pulling faces at him. Silly Tori!
- I rolled 7800 miles on my bike this afternoon. Drove it about 90 miles today.
- Riding temperature was in the high 50’s and the sun made it feel much warmer.
- Saturday night, Nina and I are heading to a party for the HOG officers at the dealership’s owner’s house. Mini meeting and the rest is a “get to know each other” thing. I’m looking forward to it.
- Poker tomorrow.
- Talked to Jamie yesterday. He’s in London by now. He left last night. I would have liked to have joined him there, but I’m not ready to make that trip again anytime soon.
- Talked to Johnson this week too. He needs to sell some cars, so anyone that needs a car should contact him. Google Blue Arrow Motors in Illinois.
- That’s it.
