Well, I’m sure the haircuts are top in your concerns in this posting so I won’t leave you hanging. We did not get our haircuts yesterday. Cynthia was a no show. We waited for 15 minutes and then we both headed home. I’m still a bit shaggy.
The good news is that I get my 1911 back today! I could have had it back already, but the release didn’t include the magazine. You may be thinking “big deal, it’s only a magazine, buy another” but that won’t work in this case. The magazine in question is a Devel mag and they are now very scarce. The manufacturer was either murdered or committed suicide (depends who you believe) and the patent fell into limbo. Anyway, that’s all sorted out and I get the gun and mag, but no bullets. I may have a few rounds that I can put into the gun if needed.
The gun will be put into retirement and I will only shoot it for recreational purposes. That gun is slated to be given to Andy when I am ready and I won’t place it in risk again. It will reside in my gun safe until it becomes his. I’ve owned it for 43 years and I hope Andy enjoys it as long.
Well, there’s a HOG meeting tomorrow at 10:00 at the dealership. Only 3 more for the year before we have new people involved for 2016. I believe that I will retain my position since everyone tells me I make the newsletter fun to read.
For those that care, Levy made it to Guatemala and I got a postcard and email from that little fucker this week. I think I need to kill him.
May ride today, but it is cloudy. I will make that decision once I’m ready to leave.
