- It was great seeing Mom, Beth, and Nancy on this trip. Erin feels the same. She talked about them repeatedly on the way home.
- I enjoyed the variety of places for breakfast out. My favorite was the Windmill Cafe in the downtown district. Biscuit and gravy with eggs on top!
- The week was not ideal for the beach, but Erin and I did it anyway and she had a ball. Kids just never seem to feel cold water, but I spent time in the lake too.
- The extra passenger, Steven, was nice for me. We talked when we weren’t listening to what we have on our phones. I did 2.75 books and I have no clue what he listened to. Erin did the iPad thing and she was well entertained on the trip.
- We met Julie and Anni at Sam’s Club in Holland both times and it was nice seeing them again.
- I took Erin to Dutch Village and she loved it. I can see her insisting on returning there next year. The ferris wheel was her favorite.
- I’m sure if I sit here and dwell on it I could come up with other shit to say, but I’m ready to head out for the day with Nina and I need to check the Jeep and see if it is habitable again.
