My thoughts

  • With 65 m.p.h. winds, I have to wonder why my sign is still standing, but it is.
  • I did the deposit today. Filled the ATM. Put out a fire. Talked to a friend. All without Tori being here. Now I will eat.
  • Went shooting with Nina yesterday. Mixed bag of shooting results. With her birthday gun, a S&W M&P Shield 9mm, she did great at the first position, but not so good at the second position. Both positions are required for qualification for the concealed carry permit.
  • After this, we switched her to my .45, a bigger, heavier gun with more recoil and she did fine at both positions. Tomorrow we head back to the range and give her more practice and we’ll add to the mix my .45 revolver to see how she does with that.
  • If she does good with both .45’s she’ll qualify with them and then she can carry any gun in our arsenal, including her 9mm.
  • I have to do my 2 year recertification on my permit and I hope I can do it this weekend with Nina. Doing it this way, we only have to bring 2 guns.
  • I also pick up my Colt Officer’s Model from the gunsmith tomorrow and I can’t wait to see what it looks like. Just to refresh for you, the last time I was out shooting with it, the front sight flew off. Since the gun had a large amount of holster wear on the finish, I also had him ceracote it. The coating will have a Harley theme and I will post a picture here when I finally get the grips I ordered. Lastly, I had him add a ambidextrous safety. It’s like getting a new gun at a fraction of the cost.
  • Just talked to Rick, he cancelled on tomorrow, so it’s just Nina and me shooting.
  • Tori & company are in Arizona. DJ has a tiny bladder it seems. From all the texts that Nina got whenever they did a DJ piss stop, I’m estimating they stopped every 4 to 10 miles of driving. Erin is a camel, she never pees.
  • Peace, except for DJ since it sounds like pees.

Got this from Mom. Happy Birthday Mom!

Living in the Southwestern USA, I needed to go to the emergency room. Not wanting to sit there for a long wait I put on my MAGIC GREEN HAT.

When I went into the E.R., I noticed that 3/4 of the people got up and left. I guess they decided that they weren’t
that sick after all. It cut at least 3 hours off my waiting time.

It also works at Dept. of Motor Vehicles. It saved me 5 hours.

At the Laundromat, three minutes after entering, I had my choice of any machine, most still running.

It might also cut your wait time at the grocery store.

But…don’t try it at McDonald’s…
The whole crew ran out the back door and I never did get my order!

Here’s the hat:

March 1

  • So, we’ve managed to make it to the 3rd month and Trump has yet to be impeached. A true landmark.
  • Erin and family are going to Arizona to visit some of Michael’s family. I think they leave tomorrow, but since Tori doesn’t tell me anything, I’m not sure. (That’s really a lie, she tells me stuff on occasion, I just don’t bother remembering.)
  • Trump made some good impressions yesterday, according to the news, and I’m a bit surprised. Nina and I did not watch it. We seldom watch that type of shit, but both of us read the lies about it from the press the next day.
  • Midwest tornadoes have done huge damages. Prayers to the people living there and suffering. Ottawa, one of our favorite towns, was hit hard and I hope the recovery is swift and maintains the towns charms.
  • Meetings today. From noon on. I should be home again by 8 or 9 this evening.
  • Last month I managed to piss off my brother to the point he left FB and of course I’ve chosen to ignore him completely. Both of us in our 60’s and both of us are acting immaturely. If I wasn’t such an asshole, I’d give a shit. Ahh life in the Post family.
  • Tori’s wedding. It appears that Don & Sue are coming. Sue tried calling Nan & Pat to see if they were going, but I have yet to find out about them. Most family is attending, from both sides.
