I swear that Colleen is trying to cripple me.
You know Colleen, my Pilates instructor? She hates me I think. Always calling me Dennis, and making me hurt, and calling me gay. I guess the gay thing was in jest because she was trying to hook me up with her husband. . . I think. Women are confusing.
I got some new shirts and a new hat today. Duluth Trading is where I got them. I like their pants, so I figured to try some of their long-sleeved t-shirts. So soft and almost caressing. I love them.
And as long as I was ordering shirts, I figured a hat was needed.
Damn!
Well, it’s 2:59 and I’m online posting instead of sleeping. At 1:00 the phone rang and someone needed gas and had no credit cards. They found us on the internet from their smart phone. While I don’t enjoy this type of sale, I tend to appreciate knowing the my web efforts have been paying off. We do about $1500 to $5000 dollars a month in after hours sales, with seasonal variations. To me it shows that we have a easy to find location on the web. Most of that money is from credit and debit cards and we never hear from them.
Oh well, I’ll play online for a bit and try heading back to bed in another hour or so.

Not much going on today. Did the usual banking stuff and breakfast. Paid our property taxes. Picked up some meds at the pharmacy. That’s it.

Windy City ain’t got shit on New Mexico!
Wind out here is epic when it blows. 50 m.p.h. gusts yesterday in Las Vegas. Stupid crazy winds. Each time we get winds like this I watch my billboard and hope it never goes down. That goes down, my business goes down.
- Picking up Erin this afternoon. Early afternoon I think.
- Going to Santa for some breakfast and a few errands.
- May take Nina’s car. It handles the wind better than the Jeep.
- Shooting yesterday was fun.
- Nights here are fairly peaceful now that Erin and Tori are living in their house.

Started a new dinner group.
Since I turned the Mixed Grill mailing list over to Joe and he’s taken the group to new heights, I’ve decided to start a new, and smaller, group for a monthly get together in the county’s many restaurants. This group includes Joe, so it appears that we won’t be doing it very often at the B&B. No name for the group yet. The first dinner will be at Canela’s in Pecos on 11/23/13 @ 6:00 p.m. Call me if you wish to attend.

It sucks lately. I hope it changes for the better soon, but I doubt it.
Shirley
She’s taken to staying in bed more lately. Is the end near? Will she last the year? Will Erin miss her? Will ML get mad at me for killing her sister? (I’m not killing her, but who knows the mind of ML and what she’ll think?)
Nina says Shirley is wasting away, but since I don’t do her daily care type duties, I don’t see it. I have no intention of taking over her bathing, dressing and changing duties just so I can see the wasting.
Business
It’s slow. It’s a seasonal thing and should pick up the week of and the week after Thanksgiving. The same thing for Christmas and New Year. Katrina is gone and Dom is new. People come and people go. Katrina was Sen. Griego’s granddaughter. Dom is Sen Griego’s grandson. Smart me, ehh?

Hoping to go shooting with Steven today. Gonna bring both my .45s.

Clean Carpet
With Tori’s little piss creators no longer allowed in my house, we had the carpet cleaned today. It looks good. We even did Tori’s old room, which I felt should be sealed up and never entered again. It should have been declared a hazardous waste zone and posted as such. The carpet looked black at points.
We moved some furniture around and into Tori’s old room and the living room looks more spacious and brighter. I don’t want to replace the furniture anytime soon, but I’m sure that I’ll be overruled soon. The more spacious part is something I could care less about, but the brighter is a nice thing.
I’m going to move one of the hospital bed into Erin’s old room and that will be ML’s room. 2 old people, 2 bedrooms. It makes it easier for them to be put down at night and we can separate them when they fight.
Citibank
Citibank cost me some online savings this week and that’s the reason for my last posting here. 3 times total their “fraud detection” apparatus canceled my charges with Zagg when I was ordering some extra lightning cables. They were $5 off as a daily deal, but Shitibank cancelled all my tries at making this because they suspected fraud. Zagg is a company that I’ve patronized for years. So is Apple. Yet Shitibank feels that every time I buy online from either of these companies, they sense fraud. Now what I lost was only $20, but this whole thing is pissing me off greatly. I’m thinking of calling them again and see if they can placate me somehow.

I hate them with a white hot passion. I’m now on the lookout for a new card that will give me the air miles I so love. Scum sucking bastards.
General Update and Info
Hi there! I hope your Wednesday is enjoyable.
While my Tuesday morning was somewhat shitty, I can now feel the benefits of going to the dentist yesterday. I am off of the pain pills already and while the stitches he put in are slightly annoying, I can live with them until next week. Sometime after Christmas I plan on paying him, or some other pain merchant, to give me some new teeth made of some synthetic shit that is impervious to decay.
I had to cancel on my presentation yesterday, but Les filled in for me. At the time I was scheduled to talk I was still spitting blood and saliva when I talked. Normalcy returned around 4 p.m. and I was able to eat even by dinner time. Soft foods only!
Erin & Me
We’re going to Santa Fe to explore the Children’s Museum. Erin did the happy dance or flop or seizure or some strange thing when I told her.
We have this thing where I chase her around the house to catch her and it gives me around 5 minutes of heart pumping action in the morning. I usually have to trick her to catch her. Today I tossed a handful of coins on the carpet when she wasn’t looking. I caught her and got my change back even.
Dennis
Dennis is done with the trip and is heading home. Looking forward to seeing him and his pictures. He’s been blogging about the trip, but I’m sure there are more stories and pictures to be seen when he’s back.
Katrina
She turned in her notice and we immediately hired her brother. He seems competent, but I was told I scare him. She’s moving to Denver.
Nina
Nina’s still alive, but I can’t give you proof of life. Call her if you’re really interested or worried. People, just because I own guns, it doesn’t mean I kill people I care about for fun or even in anger.
