Today’s memes that I enjoyed
They’re home safe and sound
Tori, Erin and Michael are home safe and sound and Tori now has her own Harley Sportster. Erin doesn’t like it, she LOVES it. Tori will not ride until she has taken the new rider’s class at SFH-D.
Ed thinks Erin is cute, but I imagine that all that met her on this trip felt that way. She has that way about her.
Tori, Erin and whatshisname
Last night they spent the night in Elk City, which is not too shabby since their GPS took them on one of the slowest routes through Missouri. Right now they’re about 5 to 6 hours from home. I’m looking forward to seeing Erin and the other two again, but mostly Erin.
Yesterday I had to work the last hour of the evening shift. The cashier claimed to be sick and had to go home. She will learn that this is not a good idea. From what I saw of the inventory, she did no stocking and as past employees have found out, my having that info is a BAD thing for all employees.
Actually, the times that I do work I do enjoy dealing with the customers and there was a first time customer from Vegas that thought the store was wonderful and we talked for about 30 minutes while she charged her cell phone. Joe Garafolo stopped by and I found out that he bought one of the many H-D copies, his being a Honda Shadow. We talked of bikes and riding and about how his brother was moving to Eldorado and the fact that he has a H-D. It turns out that Joe’s a full blown preacher these days. While both my kids think less that pleasant thoughts about him, I always enjoy talking with him. Maybe we’ll go riding soon.
Yesterday morning I had a long talk with another neighbor, also named Joe. He’s thinking of buying a gun and was curious about training and carry permits and the shooting. It too was a good talk but it was interrupted by the PAWS patrons that were killing time while the mobile spay and neuter clinic was fixing their dogs. They too wanted to talk with me. Our fault for sitting in the only spot with shade.
We’re on the downside of the summer season. The sun appears later every day and we’re slowly moving into my favorite season. I love fall and the cooler days. I enjoy seeing the colors on the trees and I am looking forward to this seasons colors. With all the rain we’ve had I expect this year’s colors to be spectacular. Nina and I are both looking forward to riding in the mountains this fall.
Enjoy your Sunday!

Another Harley-Davidson weekend.
Today I’m part of the test ride event and we’re doing a swap meet as a fund raiser for our HOG chapter.
Tomorrow, we’ll be on a ride to Red River. We’ll do lunch and enjoy the scenery on the ride. This is a road captain’s ride, but everyone is welcome.
Jumping into the fray of breast-feeding in public!
She’s funny!
Mother Walks In On Her Daughter-In-Law. Then Responds With This.
A woman stops by, unannounced, at her son’s house. She knocks on the door then immediately walks in.
She is shocked to see her daughter-in-law lying on the couch, totally naked. Soft music is playing, candles are lit, and the aroma of perfume fills the room.
“What are you doing?!” she asks.
“I’m waiting for Jeff to come home from work,” the daughter-in- law explains.
“But you’re naked!” the mother-in-law exclaims.
“This is my love dress,” the daughter-in-law answers.
“Love dress? But you’re naked!”
“Jeff loves me and wants me to wear this dress. It excites him to no end. Every time he sees me in this dress, he instantly becomes romantic and can’t get enough of me!”
The mother-in-law leaves, inspired by what she has learned.
When the mother-in-law gets home, she undresses, showers, puts on her best perfume, dims the lights, puts on a romantic CD, and lays on the couch, expectantly awaiting her husband. Finally, her husband comes home. He walks in and sees her lying there provocatively.
“What are you doing?” he asks.
“This is my love dress,” she whispers sensually.
“Needs ironing,” he says. “What’s for dinner?
He never heard the gunshot.

Misc. B.S.
- Bringing some comfort items to the Pearson’s today. Should make things easier for David. No, Southern Comfort is not what I meant.
- David is recovering from surgery and should be home tomorrow. Surgery on his ankle was done on Tuesday and took place in Santa Fe instead of Boulder or Taos. A plus in David’s mind was the surgeon is a biker.
- Working on the chapter newsletter this morning. I filled another page and still have 7 pages needing content. While it seems like a lot of work to fill them, we have the Rough Rider Rally on the 24th -26th where I’ll grab some pictures and content from attendees.
- I led my first ride yesterday and I’m supposed to lead a ride on Sunday. Yesterday was an Old Fartz ride and Sunday is a chapter ride to Red River. Sunday’s ride may be handed off to a more experienced road captain.
- Rough Rider Motorcycle Rally in just over a week away. Three days of biker related things and parties. SFH-D will be there and the chapter will be providing volunteers to run the biker games. Biker games, sounds sorta vague, but they really are just games.
- Erin, Tori, and Michael are scheduled to leave Michigan today and head to Illinois. Brookfield Zoo is on their schedule and on Saturday they pick up Tori’s Harley from Ed’s dealership.
- The weatherliar is predicting more and major rains. They’re all idiots.
