My motorcycle type of posting that many finds boring. Doing it anyway, so touch ca-ca.

Yesterday was the Big Bash at SFH-D. I spent many hours there helping out and getting sun stroke.  I’m better now, thanks for asking. The pictures were posted yesterday and it appears to have been a big hit in the community. I know I enjoyed it.  About a dozen cars and trucks showed up and we had a few more motorcycles. Some very nice rides, but I’m not into the custom paints that others love. I was impressed with the air-ride systems some of the bikes sported and the one bike with the huge front wheel caught my eye.

Quite a few people at the Big Bash were getting tattoos. Two of the girls that work at the dealership got the store’s logo tatted on their arms, one on the right and the other on the left. Dedicated? Nuts? Many of the crowd offered to pay for my tattoo and they all said I could pick the design even though they would be paying. I declined. The tattooers did a nice job though. Gilbert got a HD Skull tat.

Today! There’s a ride to Angel Fire and to Zeb’s Restaurant for lunch. We did Angel Fire last weekend, but we’ll be doing a different route today, so Nina and I are making the ride. Since the day is showing only wispy clouds, we’re expecting a big turnout. Bill, the head road captain thinks that as many as 40 may show today, but he’s not taking into account that the Old Fartz have a ride today also.

Bill is organizing an advance riding training course for all the road captains, so I’ll be taking that once it’s scheduled.  I’ve been told I should take the new riders course first, but when I asked Murrae about that he said that he’s been told I don’t need that. Not sure who did that, but I suspect it was Bill. Murrae is the instructor and Bill assists him in this.

This bike has been the best purchase ever for my sanity. Thanks for the help Dennis.

Other Stuff

Tori, Michael, and Erin are now heading east. Going to visit my dear mother in Michigan and then pick up a Harley Davidson Sportster for Tori. She’s going to ride her own bike and not ride behind Michael. Good for her! She will take the new rider’s course.
